Is it normal for a 30 year old woman to flirt with a 24 year old guy?

So I'm 24 years old and at my new-ish job there's this 30 year old woman who's been flirting with me, or at least I think.

She's very affectionate and gives me a lot of compliments, including a lot based on my physical appearance, such as eyes, eyelashes, lips, legs, etc. Also complimenting me saying that my body looks so much better after I told her I've been working out more recently. She's also quite definitely a hugger. Gives me a lot of nice and tight hugs.

And when sitting at a table she reached out to give me a handshake, but then started to hold my hand with both of hers going on about how soft my hands are.

And she has invited me to hang out with her outside of work. Like at the pool, beach, or just hanging around her house. I do live in a hot climate to be clear but I wonder if inviting me to occasions where I see her in a bikini is part of the flirting.

The answer to whether she's actually flirting with me or not might be obvious to a third party, but not to me.

And while she's nice to everyone I don't think I've seen her treating anyone else the way she treats me, though she's usually more affectionate with other women than with guys. And she is single by the way. Hasn't been in a relationship in almost a year.

As for the follow up question in the title, assuming she is flirting with me, is it normal for a 30 year old woman to flirt with a 24 year old guy?

If she asked me out I'd accept in a heartbeat as she's honestly hot as hell as well as extremely kind, though I can't help but feel I'm a bit too young for her. Though she's not too old for me.

If it matters she only recently turned 30 and I've been 24 for about 6 months. Not sure if that matters.

And she looks younger than 30, but I also look younger than 24, so we don't exactly look the same age either. Lol.

So I'm just wondering if this is a common thing or if perhaps she's a bit of a creepy weirdo, though I hope she's not.

Normal? Not to most women lol. My question will be, is she asking you to hang out 1:1 or group? What you describe of her… is honestly me in real time lol. It’s kind of wild tbh lol. But my question is the individual hang outs as it will make a difference if she wanted more than just being co-workers and fun flirting. She’s obviously attracted to you though. She may also want more signs from you that you find her attractive and interested too. She has done both but usually 1:1 as she knows I'm a shy introvert and she respects that of me. And wow so just like you? What are the odds of that? Lol. And yeah. I'd say we're more than just co-workers at this point as we are pretty good friends. Glad to hear she's attracted to me haha. And more signs from me huh. Gotcha. Should probably start small. Like when she holds my hands and talks about how soft they are do the same to her hands. And when she compliments my appearance do the same. And when she gives me one of her tight hugs hug her even tighter. And so on and so forth. But yeah! Confidence and following my heart sounds good! And yeah so far it does seem like we're compatible and click. I do hope it goes well haha.

And yeah, it’s wild… I am like her because I’m also bubbly, warm, lovable, big hugger, and open with everyone generally. I have been told I seem to have a flirty personality, but personally I think I’m just friendly and wanna make people feel comfortable. But I’m also flirty n not always afraid to be bold if I’m interested in someone. I also tend to look younger than my age lol. But the only thing I’m not the same as her is I actually am the opposite of her in this area that I don’t hit on younger men in their 20s because they hit on me thinking I’m their age because of my personality and looks lol.

Ah yeah. Usually the man is older and the woman is younger. Just like how the man is taller and the woman is shorter. Though of course the other way around exists as you can see.

Surprisingly or not not all that frustrating as I have a relatively low libido and am possibly demisexual. Though I do desire to at least cuddle with her. She already gives me really tight hugs so cuddling is not that far off assuming she's into me.

Ah damn. That's more or less the response I expected. I mean 20s and 30s are pretty different stages in life, so it's weird that she'd be flirting with a 24 year old. Like having children in your 20s is kind of a mistake, but children in your 30s is perfectly normal and expected.

@EmmaMary I mean obviously it's different for everyone. My statement might have come across as too black and white.

Most of the 20 something year olds I personally know including myself have no business having children. No financial stability in the slightest. Constant partying and drinking every single day. Many not even finished with college. And the few I know who did have children basically left all the work to the grandparents of the children so they could go out and party some more.

Though obviously not all people in their 20s are like that and all of the above stated could apply to some people in their 30s as well.

Of course a mature 20 year old makes for a much better parent than an immature 30 year old though as a general trend 30 year olds will usually be way more mature.
