My question is "ARE YOU AWARE OF YOUR SEX APPEAL?" and G@G AI is mangling it.  I was walking by -- simple jeans, boots, bag, jacket, nothing special -- and a guy was in the middle of talking to his friend about the kind of girl he should be looking for. He points me out and says, "See, like this girl. She's hot and sexy and clearly doesn't know it. Simple."  At first I presumed he was talking about someone else, so I sort of looked around and realized I was the only other person there. So I glanced at him and saw he was still looking at me. Our eyes caught for a moment and he smiled and said hi. I raised an eyebrow and kept walking, of course. I didn't know him... and what does he know about whether or not I know I look nice?  Later on when I got to my friend's place I took a good long look at myself. Not bad, you know? But I wondered if there was just something different guys pick up on that a gal doesn't see or realize about herself.  GIRLS: Do you know how hot/sexy you are?  GUYS: Can you tell if a girl doesn't realize she's hot/sexy?

Probably going to be an unpopular take here—being science and all—but conscious sex appeal/attraction is at least 85% pheremonal (chemistry), about 12% social call-and-response behavioral conditioning secondary to an individual's habitual dopamine triggers as established by their stress-avoidance coping strategies, and only about 3% involves overtly-expressive genetic factors (i. e. appearance, but minus almost everything that most people would consider to be relevant to "one's appearance").

Regardless of who you are, there are always going to be quite a few people on the planet who will start self-lubricating if you approach within 10 feet of them - and regardless of how "hot/sexy" you think you look, there are always going to be far fewer people who instantly want you than there will be people who wouldn't ever look twice at you.

So - it's pretty much impossible to answer your question usefully as its presently constructed, given that there's nothing even close to an objective universal standard for attraction.

... BUT, that guy definitely wanted to have sex with you, and his—pretty obviously strategic/rhetorical—mention of your own self-concept seems to have made you think about it and him enough to post about the encounter in public, online - so it stands to reason that it was probably a pretty effective strategy toward leveraging that 12%-factor in his favor!

Which... in turn likely entirely explains why he actually said that to you, and is also why he's almost certainly said it to about a thousand other women since he first learned that particular tactic. A less likely but entirely possible alternative is that he was superficial enough to be lowkey calling you "cute but simple," because he thought it might make you self-conscious about being not dressed-up enough to match your natural looks in his overt opinion; that's another widely-used tactic by certain troglodytes. Er, by certain men. (Don't think I'm just trying to piss in your cheerios, by the way. I'm sure those were very fine boots).

When a girl KNOWS that she is hot, sometimes it becomes obvious in attitude, condescension, a certain coldness or aloofness. Such girls would never be called friendly or inviting. So we assume that girls without the attitude aren't full of themselves.

Yes and no. I understand intellectually that I must be fairly attractive, as there’s usually a few men interested in me at a time, some jealous women and I’ve been offered genuine modelling gigs and a chance at a modelling career.

On the other hand, I’m quite self conscious about having a fuller figure than most women have and being generally clumsy and more overweight than I ought to be, for medical reasons. I am not a very sexual person. If I believed in labels, I’d identify as a romantic asexual, so I relate to myself more as a practical being than a sexual one that owns their sexuality, like women in film clips and movies do. I don’t see myself as a sexy woman or feel particularly sexy or sexual.

Every o e is beautiful in there own. Way... and yes you can tell in a heart beat if a women knows she is hot and sexy. But the best part about that is they dont have to be flashy or make it obvious that they are because they are confident that is more beautiful than any woman knowing that she is beautiful and sexy and she has to prove it to me that's ugly that's the way that women are calm and confident and they are just themselves that's what makes them even more beautiful

I'd say I'm maybe a 6/10 at most for sex appeal. Definitely not a Henry Cavill sex symbol. My body is decently defined and I'm proud of it, but I'm more on the slim side than the gym rat shredded side. Let's just say I don't think I get girls turned on by seeing me. I'm just another average dude out there in the world.

No I underestimate it all the time. I'f I had nickle for everytime I have asked why me I'd be drinking something off the top shelf instead off coffee.. But yes I can spot a woman who doesn't realize how attractive they are. I wish there was a better way to say it but they are who I target when looking for dates. I can hit a couple numbers above my own looks without a power struggle.

Well, Operating under the assumption that your story is true, If there was no one else there, and he was looking directly at you while calling you sexy, and you still had the first instinct of looking around to figure out who he’s talking about, Kind of proves what he said.

When somebody points out an autistic fucker in a suit, My first thought will always be that they are talking about me because I am in fact *THE* autistic fucker in suit, Even if you gathered every autistic person in the world into one room and gave them all a suit, i would still stand out.

As for if I am aware about how attractive I am, I just operate by the default assumption that I am completely unattractive, Because I don’t need to be attractive as long as I’m me.

As for me being able to tell if a girl doesn't realize She's hot... Yeah, every hot woman is aware of it, no exceptions. It's only some cute girls that are unaware that they are cute, and that just makes them cuter. I tend to overestimate these, though. Most do know they are cute.

Most girls I've been with only see their flaws and automatically think that's what everyone else sees. They were all gorgeous and weren't dumb enough to think they weren't but they would always be hard on themselves just because of their little flaws.

Tbh, I've met more girls that thought they were way more attractive than they actually were.

I can tell when a girl doesn’t realize she’s hot/sexy/wonderful.
Most of the time I’ll hear about it, like “Oh I can’t believe I’m not perfect” needing reassurance or words of genuine kindness and support.

Honestly would like a woman who is semi confident or not confident at all, over choosing someone who is full of themselves constantly, narcissistically and doesn’t hesitate to put down other women for not being like them.

I feel like I downplay my actions a lot, like oh it’s not that deep or it’s just playful. The thought in of itself makes me downplay wether I’m appealing or not, so personally for me I would say I’m not aware of it, but others around me like my friends may disagree because I play flirt with most of my best friends (all girls)
