I can’t flirt to save my life—how important is flirting in dating, and what should I do?

OK, you have to explain us how flirting is going to save your life!

You have 5 basic physiological needs and they are:

breathing, food, water, shelter, clothing and sleep. Without those 5 basic needs, you cannot save your life. All the rest on top of those 5 basic needs are superfluous and are not necessary for survival.

Flirting and dating are certainly not needs that you cannot live without. Those are luxuries that some find good to have on the side but they will not impact your life if you don't have them.

Flirting and dating are certainly way on the bottom of the human needs.

I'd like to try dating for once but being myself isn't getting the job done. Then I hear you need to flirt more. What if being myself is naturally not a flirt? It's frustrating as hell.

I don‘t really know how to answer that question but you could find a course on flirting where you are given some practical hints on how to flirt.

I guess that it is something you have to learn just like everything else

The older you get, the less important it is. It is really a middle/high school thing. Anymore, there isn't much flirting.
