I like humor personally. Corny is especially good, but it's a VERY fine line between good corny and just lame. Good ones know where that is and use it to their advantage (at least with women like me). Problem is, it's hard for guys to know which method is going to work best because each woman is their own person.

So a good rule of thumb is just to be confident with a bit of humor to disarm any warning signs we may be getting when approached and your halfway there.
