Why does this girl say hi sometimes and other times she doesn’t?

There is a girl in my school who practically never talks or even says hi to people who aren’t her friends. She talks a lot to her friends though. This habit of not talking to non-friends goes especially for guys (only has one guy friend and the rest be girls). I’m not her friend so I find it weird that for the last couple of weeks, she has been saying hi to me. The only times she does this is before is our music class and won’t say hi if my friends are near me or if her friends are near her (before music, we have to go to this room to pick up our instrument. She usually says hi in this room. I’m being serious; she never says hi unless it’s in this room and won’t say hi if either of our friends is near us). Sometimes she just doesn’t say hi to me (it’s happened like 2-3 times). Why do you think she says hi sometimes and other times she doesn’t? (I’m sure that during those times she didn’t say hi to me that none of our friends were near us)

She obviously notices you. :) I'm like that way sometimes, sometimes I say hi to everyone sometimes I don't. Maybe she's waiting for you to say hi first?

That's your problem. All this time she's been saying "hi" to you but you don't do the same thing. Why do you always expecting a "hi" from her? You come up here complaing about her not greeting you then you go "she never says hi if she's with her friends." Like seriously, wtf does that have to do with anything? No wonde...r she stopped saying "hi," cause you're too damn selfish. You should start greeting her first more often.
