How to flirt without leading them on?

I'm flirty I guess I just like to have a good time. I don't know if that's good or bad but my flirtation comes from being too nice and friendly. Anyway, this situation has been happening to me lately where I playfully tease or flirt back with certain guys, and end up being asked out. They call me cute/pretty and compliment me, and ask me personal questions, and all that stuff, but when I nicely tell them no, they give me the cold shoulder like I purposely led them on and now I'm a jerk for rejecting them but they eventually go back to being cool. Everything I do and/or say is unintentionally... So how do I change my ways? I don't want to lead on any guy!

I know a girl who does this and pretty much all she's succeeded in doing was p*ss off a bunch of guys who interpreted her flirting and attentions as a sign she likes them(and now word is out that she's just a tease) and she'd even go out with some for a week or two or three just cause he asked her out and then promptly dump him cause "gosh sorry I just don't see you that way" (well then why the hell were you flirting hardcore with him allll the time? geez!) and she's succeeded also in pissing off a bunch of girls who now look at her like a tease because she can't just pick one guy and stick with it she has to date the entire pool of men they know. Ridiculous.

she'll seriously flirt with guys who already have girlfriends and those girlfriends are all "wtf?" and she's all doe eyed and innocent "gosh what are you so mad about? we're just frieeeeends!" cough bs cough.

Flirting is not the same as just talking and being friendly to guys it's being OVERLY friendly. if you don't know the difference then maybe you have boundary issues or some kind of attention seeking problem? cause most people know the difference.

Why are you flirting then? Seems like all you want is the attention of men who can't get you, and it appears as though you do it a lot. The purpose of flirting is to bring attention to your attraction to someone else, what you're doing is wrong and mirrors the actions of a sleezy woman...very much so. There's so thing as unintentional flirting because you know you're doing it and here you are hoping someone with justify what you're doing so you won't feel guilty :3 good luck!

Just don't flirt with them. I mean, why would you flirt with someone that you're not interested in, to a degree?

Girls flirt for a number of reasons

1. They have a boyfriend and are trying to get attention in the wrong way

2. They have low self esteem and figure mens attention will fill that void

3. A combination of the two

4. An infinite amount of possibilities

The question is, why is the QA doing it
