What are ways to flirt without crossing the line?

he has a girlfriend, but he's super good friends with me. I'm absolutely crushing hardcore on him and I need some flirting tips on how not to be OVERLY flirty and cross the line.

It would be crossing the line if you attempt to "flirt" with him while he has a girlfriend. But if you just want to let him know that you might be interested in him if things with his girl don't work out--just smile at him, laugh at his jokes, etc. I'd suggest you don't get into the playful touching/teasing stuff, because that can create a lot of sexual tension.

I'm not sure what you mean by "crossing the line," but if a girl I like has a boyfriend, I don't flirt with her period. I remain her friend, and if she becomes available, I'd flirt with her when I think she's emotionally ready to handle it. That's my "line"; I'm not saying it should be yours. What I suggested above though, is as far as I think things should be taken when the object of a crush is currently in a relationship. Best of luck.
