What's the best compliment a girl can get?

Is it that she's beautiful, hot, or sexy or is asking a girl to marry you the ultimate compliment?

I'd definitely rather be called beautiful than sexy. I love when my boyfriend looks at me, gives me a no tongue kiss, looks at me again and tells me how beautiful I am. I really like it when he says it in the morning, or just randomly with no sex before or anything. For example, sometimes we happen to both wake up in the middle of the night, and then he rolls me over to look at him and he strokes my cheek and kiss me an eskimo kiss and just says, "You are so beautiful." Or even when he doesn't say anything, like the other night I had my head in his lap and was watching the TV and he took his time tucking my hair behind my ear (The little hair I have), and then he just bent down and kissed my cheek and then continued to stroke my hair. I feel like he is moving my hair to see more of my face, I think it's sweet and innocent and it makes me feel pretty.

Last night I actually had a friend compliment me, and it flattered me a lot.

He said, "You're beautiful, even with no makeup, even when you just wake up, even just as you get out of the shower. You have the prettiest eyes ever, and your legs? They just go on forever."

Asking a girl to marry you isn't EXACTLY a compliment, I mean yea, that means that they love you and want to be with you forever, but still- I just don't agree with that being a compliment as much as some one telling you that you are beautiful inside and out.

I'd rather be complemented on who I am (personality, humor, intelligence) than physical beauty.

Physical appearance is such a fickle thing. I'd rather be complemented for my character than how long I spent looking in the mirror that morning or whatever the gene pool decided to give me.

I like being called beautiful, gorgeous, stunning,  not words that you'd call a stripper, like hot or sexy, because those words make me think of a scantily clad, fully made-up slut who doesn't have much respect for herself.

She's bright, she's funny, she's sweet and caring, she's unique, she's great to be around ect... If you are approaching a girl straight away that you don't know sure it's nice to compliment her appearance but she'll only take it as a compliment from a stranger, try to get her to converse with you then you can comment on her appearance (if you must have too) and her personality, example "wow, beautiful and smart."

If you have known her for quite some while try complimenting her on the things that makes you want to be around her, not necessarily just attracts you, like her sense of humor or witty charm and then you can throw in a compliment on her appearance. You don't want her thinking all you see in her is her looks, no bueno.

i agree with starlight :) the ultimate compliment is a genuine one from the heart.

i get a lot of compliments on my hair, eyes and being smart or funny and of course I really appreciate them alot. but like a week ago for example, I was talking to a friend of mine who I hadn't talk to in months because of stupid friends. he said how he really missed me and how much he loved talking to me , how we always had the best convos and little things like that. that made me smile and feel good for ages just because it was just such a genuine and nice thing to say.

if you mean strictly physical compliments, then beautiful is the best I think. and yeah, asking her to marry you is the ultimate compliment

Out of these 3 choices, I would rather hear a stranger say that I am beautiful.  Beautiful says something about your personality, rather than just your sexual appeal.  But if the person I love asked me to marry him, that would be the biggest compliment.

i for example love when someone say I am so talented, or such an artist...

But if its a guy I like than Gosh you are so beautiful, could be gorgeous, stunning, smoking hot is pretty great too...

Most of the time I hear beautiful from old ladies, I like it, as it's something good to hear but I wonder why it's old ladies who say it more often maybe I have an old time look, I don't know...

i'd like a guy to tell me I'm "such a beautiful person, inside and out." or that they love me completely for who I am." Also, it'd be cool if a boyfriend said I was his best friend. I mean, dating is so casual these days, you have a boyfriend/girlfriend one day and a new one the next. All of them are great, but have different meanings. Beautiful means inside and out, and that he really really likes you. Cute/adorable means sort of innocent, like he wants to hug you or something. Hot/sexy means he wants you, as in lust, which is okay but other compliments are better. (:

im not entirely sure but for me it meant a lot to me when a guy told me I was really cute, because I never thought I was pretty or anything I never thought a guy would ever notice me, but he did and I will always treasure that.

For me, the greatest compliment is to be told that I am needed.  That I am useful, or helpful, or that I make him feel better. Name things unique to her that you notice that she does , its not all about looks so don't only compliment her on how beautiful she looks today. It's different for every girl, but I'd say the majority like beautiful. But girls who don't get complimented all the time like to know that someone thinks they are "sexy".

Also the compliments sound better if they come from a guy she actually LIKES or finds ATTRACTIVE. I've seen my girl friends get really flattered when a good looking guy says a nice compliment, then the next day think a guy is a creeper for saying it (which I only assume is because he's not good looking/attractive)

Umm well if you guys are seriously dating then, asking to marry would be an ultimate compliment.

calling her beautiful is pretty damn nice, but not over doing it or else you'd seem like a stage 5 clinger! but being specific is awlays the best like " your hair looks pretty that way" " is that a new jacket? " " that cool looks nice on you " etc..
