If a guy tells me he's hanging out in his boxers with his friends, is he flirting?

Is that flirting? If he's telling me he and his friends are playing a game and he's in his boxers? Is he trying to have me imagine him half naked? Or is he just being awkward? What is he doing by telling me this? ha ha anything, nothing?

I think he is flirting. A lot of guys in my experience want to portray apathy because I guess that's just the cool thing to do. He probably has a " I do what I want." mentality. He probably wants you to think he is masculine and wants you to think about with little clothing on.
