I am halfway through college and have no friends still. I hate my life (or lack of). Help me.

im doing good inschool and that's always most impt with me, but I need a social life! I want to join a sorority SO bad...but I would be rushing as a first semester junior! I really want this though more than ANYTHING I want to be in a sorority. there's no other way to make friends at this point.

So I rushed as a freshman and got in. Sororities are pretty easy if you're attractive, social, or a legacy. What's not easy about sororities is all the bs most guys/girls have to say about it and the people in them.

I highly doubt that- there's classmates, parties, college clubs, and volunteering. If you can't find an opportunity to make one friend out of the people you come into contact with daily I doubt you'd be very welcomed in a sorority.

You are wrong. There is other way. Look around.

Friends are not made by belonging to group of some sort but by acts of kindness.

Smile. Be open. Your life will improve dramatically! You are not going to get any kind of invitation anywhere if you don't chat with people. You are not going to get friends if you don't talk with anybody. It is simply not possible to be friends and not communicate. And with communication, it is not possible to be friendless. (I am not saying that you can friend anyone, but I am saying that you will find some friends anywhere!)

The worst you can do for yourself is be desperate like this - who would want you in a sorority or friendship? Have some patience and confidence and self-worth and do your own thing - that's what people find most gravitating not the heard mentality.

And you say you are doing good (sic.) in school but your language, how you say, sux. If you want to play the smart girl card and esp. mention it (which is a good move), make sure you sound the part.
