Why does he ask ME to kiss HIM??

the guy I'm with asks me to kiss him. or like he will hint that he wants me to kiss him. Like if he wants to kiss me so bad why won't he just go ahead and do it already!? I feel like he's always waiting for ME to kiss HIM...like what if I want him to kiss me... I feel like it ruins the moment if you have to ask for it. Am I weird for feeling this way? Does anyone else have this problem? Is it nerves? Sometimes I get the feeling we're both waiting for the other one to make the first move...

He might be trying to put out feelers for whether or not you'd be okay with him kissing you. One of my boyfriends didn't kiss me for the first time until I said, "I think you should kiss me now." and we had talked about kissing before, but he didn't want to overstep his bounds. So the next time he says something about how you should kiss him, turn it around on him and tell him that he should kiss you. Good luck :)

How do you expect him to know? I find it rather self-centered to expect behavior from others that we don't let them know about. What if he is waiting for you to make a move? You wouldn't be OK with that either.

Maybe he likes it when you initiate. Too many girls don't take initiative. You like it when he initiates. Why can't he?

i get nervous! like I'm a really shy girl in everyday life, so when I'm around him it's even worse. He's a total loudmouth overly talkative guy. I hav hardly any experience in anything that I do so that adds to my nerves. so for him to ask me to kiss him makes me feel like a spotlight has just been placed on me

Young guys are often too timid to take charge. You should tell him you want him to.

well I'm 21 and he's 24. I feel like he just doesn't want to scare me off or something. because we'll be like watching a movie just chillin on the couch and he might put his hand on my thigh or something, but he'll be like, is this cool? or oh sorry bout that/ my bad and take his hand off me. lol I just find it all weird because he's such a loud guy. like everywhere we go he knows people. he doesn't act shy or reserved around anyone but me it seems like...

He really sounds timid actually. You should tell him you want him to be more forceful, more take charge, more initiating.
