Why does he want to kiss me so bad?

So 3 months ago my friend admitted to having some feelings for me. We went on a double date and I really didn't feel anything, but his feelings for me grew stronger. Fast forward to now, I finally told him that I'm not sure how I feel and he said "maybe a kiss would help?" He keeps trying to plan how we will do it, and I told him to just chill and let it happen. Literally, every other text, he's like "I want to kiss you" "I'm so excited about this" When I try to change the subject, he takes it right back to us kissing. He would be my first kiss, and he is super excited about it. I don't mind him kissing me, and I'm flattered he wants to. I just want to know why... and how would I kiss him?

Has he kissed anyone else before? Anyways its a really nice feeling if you actually like them or it can start new feelings. He's probably just really excited because he's read up on it too much like I did before my first kiss and just wants you to feel good and return his feelings and is being impatient because his imagination is exaggerating it. (don't tell him but to me it was more amazing than I hyped it up to be if it is the case.)
