How do you flirt with a tough girl?

The girl I like is a tough girl in my opinion. She's one of those girls that are beautiful with a athletic figure that won't take crap from anyone. She will tell anybody off if they approach her wrong, it's actually funny and cute. But like most girls her tough side is used to hide her feminine side, cause there's times she's real girlie especially when babies are around. But she seems real laid back like me, most girls I know will come by me to talk to me but she doesn't . She does look at me and most the time I catch her doing it. Three times I've texted with her till she feel asleep mid conversation. In the past I asked her if she liked me but she said she didn't know me enough to really answer, it wasn't a yes but it also wasn't a no. It's funny how I saw her again like a month ago after not seeing her for a while and we were already making eye contact all over again. Since that time I've been trying to figure out how to approach this, I'm thinking instead of asking her to basically go out with me like last time I'll ask her if she'd give me the chance to get to know her by hanging out. If there's any tough girls out there tell me what you'd want a guy to do.

I think I'm a tough girl, being a black belt and ginger. I've taken enough crap over the years for being ginger and I don't take it anymore, if you mess with my friends or me I will make you regret it. To be honest, if a guy looks at me a lot and when I catch him he blushes and looks away, I tend to find him attractive (because he is making an effort). I know it's difficult to talk to this girl, because she might not want to talk to you in person so much because she is scared. You dont know what she has been through to make her feel like she needs to be tough and put up a front. Long conversations/messages about little things (hobbies, likes, dislikes) will make her feel mire comfortable around you. Hope this helps :) x

These girls are difficult to understand. For one, don't compliment them on their looks! That's what every lame guy does. Actually no compliments at all to begin with.

You want this girl to wonder whether you actually like her, keep her on her toes. Once she knows you like her, it's game over. You can even say something like "You'd make a nice friend". She rarely ever hears this from guys and will be intrigued and wonder whether you are interested in her or not.
