What do you do?

Whether or not I know you well enough, I'll usually make eye contact and give a closed-mouth smile if I think you're cute. If I get to know you more, I might start flirting a bit more.

Make sure feet aren't pointed at her if I have to stop, make sure I glance but don't look too long, try to smile and if I can't get a smile to work, look away so as not to seem creepy or pull out my phone and check the time to assuage her fears that I might mean to harm her, if I do smile try to say "Hello" or the like, if I can't say hello or the word registers too late then try to look in a hurry so she doesn't think I am some sort of creep, make sure my hands aren't in my pockets, make sure my fingers are extended, thumb to the side as I walk to not seem aggressive, take a quick look at my surroundings so I don't box her in or corner her, accidentally, keep count in my head for every action to make sure eye contact is not maintained for longer than five seconds and I linger no longer than three near her.

Being not creepy around attractive girls is extraordinarily tiring. I don't care for it in long intervals.

Some girls have something about them that puts me at ease but most are extremely difficult to be around. I liken it to having a perfectionist parent who you have to watch yourself around at every moment since once they think you are a creep there is no coming back from it.

It depends for me.

After last year, it took me a while to trust women again, and it took a while before I felt my interest was accepted or even wanted. If someone looked at me, I looked away, acting like they didn't exist. It was all about being aloof or annoyed. I figured, if they felt I was annoyed by them first, I had the upper hand.

Now it's a little different. I still smile time to time. Say "hey" every once in a while. It's still hard for me to feel comfortable with it, though, but I push through that feeling.

Haha, I'm pretty obvious when I see a guy I think is cute; I'll give them a head-to-toe and back to see if they caught me. If so, I'll slightly **** my head, give a grin, and if they're super cute and smile back, I'll bat my eyes a few times, but then look away and act like I'm doing something interesting (like playing with my fingernails) and glance back after a little bit. I should add no guy has ever come over talk though. Pity.

Ok I'll either glance at them or not...if I do, I'll either give a blank expression or small smile based on how friendly they look...sometimes out of habit I'll just give a quick "closed mouth smile" like you said (so basically not a wide grin)...if the guy smiles at me first though, I'll give a bigger smile! :)

A lot of guys will give me a "scantron" look (old-fashioned talk for that appreciative head-to-toe glance you get before they look you in the eye and smile). I've caught myself doing the same in some instances, but in most cases I just smile and look a guy straight in the eye. If he says "Hi" I reply. If not, at least I had the benefit of the eye candy.

Guess it depends what mood I'm in. Lately I just try not to let them see me looking. If. They look in my direction I try hard not to look back.

I look at them and while I pass by I smile at them, and keep walking but sometimes when I have the nerve I'll try and talk to them and flirt. But other times I just go on my way lol

I try to smile, but sometimes I get too shy to smile because I suck at smiling. What you just said is something that's great to do, I can do that sometimes, but it's easier said than done to be honest. Oh and yes eye contact is definitely first.
