If you don't get any attention from guys does that always mean you're ugly?

I saw a question on here asking how do you know if you're ugly, and the question asker said that she doesn't like how she looks yet she gets attention from guys so basically the people who answered said that if she gets attention then that means she's not ugly.

My question is I don't know if I am ugly or not because I never get attention from guys. I have never even been asked out before and I can't count on one hand how many times I've been approached by a guy. My friends and family say I'm drop dead gorgeous and that I should even pursue modeling (maybe just because I am tall?) but I don't see it plus I get overlooked by guys my age.

Yeah. I mean, maybe you're so hot and attractive that most guys (with feelings) feel intimidated and as if you're going to reject them just to satisfy your ego of feeling and calling yourself hot, etc. However, there are - although few, but they still exist - men who only think their their penis. These guys have no feelings. They could care less what a hot girl or any girl thinks about him. So, there's no (fear) component that's holding him back from approaching a ridiculously hot girl, because he's emotionally incapable of taking rejection personally, because he could care less about a future relationship with any girl. Therefore, for as long as a girl is genuinely hot, there will ALWAYS be AT LEAST A FEW guys approaching her who overtly, flat-out, bluntly, shamelessly, just want to have sex with her. If you (or whatever girl you're writing for) aren't (isn't) getting that, then it's not because of an insane level of attractiveness that intimidates men away (that's the emotionally convenient excuse that's easy to tell ourselves and accept). It's because of a lack of attractiveness.

Hmm, well, it could be that guys are intimidated by your beauty. Look as a guy, if you go up to a girl, there is always a good chance that she will turn you down. It plain just sucks. When you get turned down, its a rejection, and no matter how nice the girl is about turning you down, it makes you feel like your just not good enough. Its not easy to deal with, so most guys avoid this. So if your really good looking, more guys will avoid hitting on you. :/

Well, what if the guy was really already taken? What, though kinda unlikely, he just was hanging with his friends and wasn't really looking to hook up? Just because your pretty doesn't mean every guy will say yes. Most will, but...

Truth is since no one of us have seen you we won't be able to actually tell you ifyou're pretty or not.

But if you don't feel like you're getting attention from guys it def does not mean you're ugly !

It could just be your attitude that doesn't invite others to approach you, or just you not being able to get those little attentions ... Some guys might drop hintsthat they like you but if you don't try to read their subtle hints and not encourage to pursue they won't.

Anyway, ugliness and guys attempt to hit on you are not directly related, at least not that way :)

And by the way does it even matter that much ? eventually you'll find a guy that will pay attention to you, might not look like amodel but who cares ?

Wanting attention from guys you don't like won't make you feel better about yourself anyway so just find one that you like and try to act more friendly maybe

Guys don't even talk to me or look at me so there's definitely no way they're dropping hints.

I am pretty friendly and I've been friendly to guys that I liked. No luck lol. It may not matter to you if you get a lot of attention but if you're not someone who doesn't get any it makes you feel left out and like you're missing out on something. You can't tell me you don't like attention from guys you like.

I love getting attention from the guys I find great lol obviously!

But I don't like getting the attention of anyone, like awkward looks from strangers that's very uncomfortable.

If you're really interested on having an answer to how pretty I think you are you can still private messag eme, but my point is everyone finds someone at some point that will make you feel like you're the most important person in the world to them, despite your looks !

It goes by the frequency of attention you get as well as the quality of guys you get attention from. I've seen unattractive girls get attention from guys, but it's hardly ever cute guys or guys who have stuff going for them. But I've seen average girls not get much attention because they don't put themselves out there. I'll put it this way: if you are in circumstances where guys will notice you and have an opportunity to pay attention from you, and they hardly ever do then you're probably ugly.

Your friends and family are not always the most accurate judges but other people who don't know you are. If you can walk into a crowded room and get looks, head turns and nonverbal attention then your probably not ugly. If you walk into a room and are ignored, looked away from and treated as if you're invisible then you're probably ugly.

I'd like to add that sometimes when I walk into a room I get a lot of negative attention from girls. Nasty looks, snide remarks, scornful comments, but guys pretty much don't seem to notice me unless a girl points me out.

I've seen both gorgeous and really really REALLY unattractive girls be hit on. So no, I don't think you need to worry and think you are ugly. In fact, some of the most attractive ones (that aren't hoes) are usually not hit on at all either depending on guys maturity levels. Guys at my high school wouldn't look at me and I always questioned my looks but when I went to college, I felt like a star. Literally I got hit on when going to a vending machine. So it's guys maturity and the type of girl they go for. Besides, everyone's tastes are different. But what you really need to consider is, why did you think you would need to judge your looks by guys responses to you? I understand it was from a question, but truly why did it stick in your head?

I'm in college and I still don't get attention from guys. I need to judge my looks by guys responses to me because I'm not going to ask them directly what they think especially since none of them even acknowledge me, plus I already know how girls and people who are close to me think about my looks. I'm also indifferent about my looks. The only reason I even care is because I notice I don't get any attention from guys and it would be nice to have a boyfriend or a little attention every now and then.
