Girl doesn't ever approach/text first. What should I do?

This girl I like has never ever texted me first. I KNOW for a fact she likes me. But with any interaction, I have to initiate the interaction, whether it be verbal or texting. She acts super ultra shy in this way, but as soon as I approach/text her she acts totally normal and is super sweet. So how can I get her to be more comfortable approaching/texted me first? Like in the hallway, she is always looking for me, when she sees me she will wait and start walking very slow just ahead of me so I can catch up. When I do catch up she will fake act surprised and act like she didn't see me. We like walk together almost every day to lunch and that basically happens every day, so I mean its a reoccurring thing. I have never seen someone act so ultra shy one second and then be totally normal the next. She only does this to me and she is a very social girl that is not this shy any other times. I just want her to be comfortable and be able to a mutual relationship with her, so that I don't have to do everything be myself. I understand girls think this is the guys job, but all I am looking for is a little bit of mutualism.

Well first do you like her the way she likes you? If so then does she know, because if she doesn't well then it explains the way she's been acting. She is trying to play it cool, like she's not interested when she is. This is her way of subconciously protecting herself if you reject her by not likeing her back. She is also probably so nervous around you, her heart racing, she doesn't know how or what to say because she is so caught up in her feelings .The only advice I can give you is if you like her tell her so, that may bring down her walls and become more open to conversation and to you in general. You may also just want to be upfront and point out in a polite way how she's always shy when your near, or that you always initiate conversation and ask her why that is? What you just asked me you should ask her, honesty is key in any relationship, and if she is a sweet as you say then I'm sure she'll be understanding :) good luck!

You could just tell her casually 'hey text me later' or something I usually don't text first cause I feel like I'm bothering the guy but, I still do it lol so that may be her problem. She must like you alot! For her to be this shy :) maybe she'll open up to you later on! Good luck!

Girls like to be pursued. I am very old fashion when it comes to men and pursual. In my 40 years I have never had to pursue a man or initate any form of contact until the relationship has moved to the next stage.

Maybe it's time to move it to the next stage?

I always see this on here, Guys you must know she only acts like that with you because she likes you. What other reason for a social girl just being quiet around you , She's probably thinking like you she doesn't want to sound stupid. I hear men saying this all the time, Once you get to know her you will be yourself. You guys just like each other and you don't know how to express it.
