My best friend's sister keeps hitting on me. What to do...

These past several months every time I'm around my best friend's sister she keeps on trying to flirt with me. I could easily go for her but l don't play along too much with her little flirt activity because of the long and close friendship I've had with her brother. I can recall him surprisingly enough subtly trying to get me to take her somewhere but that was just once. I could totally try for this but am in no way willing to let it happen if it could destroy our friendship. I've been really good friends with him for a very long time so compromising here is really not an option I'm willing to choose but still l could very easily pursue her successfully.

Should I just let this one go or do something about it? I'm just not sure.

If you are concerned about the friendship but interested in your friends sister why not ask your friend if it is alright if you can date her. Based on the information that is provided, he indicated to you that it was alright to date his sister "by trying to get [you] to take her somewhere." Usually lasting romantic relationships come when a friend is introduced to a family member. In your case its your best friends sister, but in any case there are positives and negative aspects to the relationship.

The positive aspects is that your friend will help you with your relationship with his sister because he wants you to be happy and his sister too. He can give you insight into her mind and what she likes without having to spend years getting to know her because you already know her partially from your relationship with her brother. It also will allow you to develop a deeper friendship with your best friend because you will see a part of him that is involved with family life. On the opposite side, by dating her will allow you to get to know your best friend better by understanding him better through his sisters eyes. If their are issues that occur in either relationship at least you have someone to talk to and are not alone.

The negative aspect is that the friendship that you currently have can be put his sisters interests ahead of his and compromise the relationship.If their are any fights that occur between them you will end up being in the middle but you can use that to help your best friends relationship with his sister during those times. No matter what the outcome is with his sister, if your friendship is strong nothing will break it even if worst comes to worst with his sister.

She could be the right girl for you but you will never truly find out unless you try.
