Are these signs that she's flirting with me?

This girl will try to catch my eye contact when we're talking and when I finally make eye contact it's like a laser beam like she's locked on and won't let go of my eye contact. and when I say something nice or compliment her she will giggle and look away, for example I hadn't seen her in a while and when she came up to talk to me I said "it's good to have you back around here" and she giggled/nervously laughed and looked away for a second. she also asks questions like how I've been and what I've been up to but I thought maybe she might just be being friendly.

but is that flirting and what other signs should I look for. thank you

EXISTING SIGNALS:

Locked gaze = hot for you (or a complete lunatic) -- that's your call.

Giggle = butterflies in the stomach indicating attraction.

Looking away then looking back (AKA "sticky eyes") = attraction to the source of the gaze - that's you, buddy.

The questions are sort of generic, but if she's asking about you and trying to chat you up, she's at least interested in you at some level.

OTHERS TO LOOK FOR:

Lean in towards her a little when she speaks to you (especially if you're taller), as though you're in a crowded place and struggling to hear what she's saying to you. Lean like you're being slowly magnetically drawn to her, but don't stick to her. See what her reaction is:

(1) If she steps back (or leans back with her torso, her foot, etc.), then she's not interested in you from a romantic perspective. Back off and don't do that again or she'll bolt like a squirrel.

(2) If she responds with sticky eyes, blushing, or breathlessly searches your face to try and figure out what you're doing, you're golden, kiddo.

It works too. Funny that we (guys or girls) tend to think we're giving out clear signals, but the person we like isn't always 100% sure how to read the signal/vibe crackling. The leaning thing really helps decode without being too aggressive/rude.
