What does it mean when a girl says never mind to asking about your crush?

So the girl that I like has asked me on multiple occasions who do I like. I respond with no one and ask her why she asked. Her response is either never mind or I just wanted to know. I think there is a reason behind it and I'm curious to find out. So if anyone (preferably girls) be able to tell me what never mind actually means? Please and thank you.

She likes you and wants to know how you feel about her. My suggestion, should you take it, is invite her over to your place, go over to her place, or go out for an hour and then go home together. Make a move. Otherwise, if you don't, she'll take it as rejection and move on.

ah I see. She knows how you feel, so of course she acts different from you than other guys. You revealed it to her. So she asks you who you like because she may want to know if you still have a crush on her, or if it's gone. Which isn't a bad thing - she's playing a game like all girls do.

If I were you, I would talk to her and have fun doing so. Then get her number and proceed to hang out to have more fun. If she doesn't give you her number, then feel free to cross her off and chat up other females. But I would stay tough and try taking more baby steps towards getting this girl and seeing each other a little more, rather than giving up and moving on.

Don't be afraid to pursue her a bit more. Keep your cool and approach her the next time you see her. Tell her a joke. Ask her how she's doing. I'm sure you've gone out and been to a place she hasn't been to yet, such as a bar, a club, or a play or concert is coming up. Or heck, BATMAN! Invite her out to see the new Batman with ya, and catch a drink afterward where you can talk about the movie. None of this is a big deal, because you're confident and you can do this with other girls.

I highly doubt that as in the past I have told her that I loved her and such and her reaction was to ignore me for about 6 months then slowly return to the way it was before. Now I assume that she is unsure that I like her and she still does act different around me then other guys.
