What does it mean when a girl gets mad at a guy because he doesn't talk to her?

Is it really normal for a seemingly stable girl to get furious at me because I was quiet with her (I explained that a comment she made before kind of ticked me off and I was just keeping to myself while I got over it) but even that explanation wasn't good enough for her and she just got really mad at me.

She is not my girlfriend, we just started talking a few weeks ago and we do enjoy it, she is always smiling and laughing and we had a blast but I never thought that I HAD to talk to her everyday, sometimes these things happen and we just want to keep to ourselves, right? I wasn't rude or mean or ignored her, I just wasn't very enthusiastic.

Why did she get this mad? Do any of you girl get mad at a guy like this? Its like something a girlfriend would do, making you pay for ignoring her...

well I honestly think, that she must like you SO MUCH that even a day without you talking to her gets her upset, she probably has some insecurities but she just not being open with you about them, maybe you should sit down and talk with her and let her know does she feel like your talking with other females (well if you are then I would keep that question out) and other curious questions to why she gets upset.

I honestly don't upset when this happens but I do just a little bit because if your guys are like TALKING TALKING then I'm 100% sure she's just worried were your at, and why you didn't give her a heads up. Women tend to be a little protective when it comes to someone they really cherish but they try not to show it, BUT it doesn't make then obsessive, if you do see and obsessive side then you need to say something NOW other than LATER.

I mean you don't necessarily have TO TALK to her, if your busy...your busy just let her know. If you feel that talking everyday will kill the moment you guys have to were you have nothing else to talk about, just let her know. IT ALL ABOUT COMMUNICATION. Let her feel open towards you but NOT SO MUCH lol, you gotta have boundaries because you guys aren't dating. I HOPE THIS HELPED ^_^

Well, we see each other at school. We were on our way to class, she said hello and I responded but since, according to her, she knows me so well, she knew something was off and asked me. I told her, because I wanted to be honest but I wasn't a jerk about it, I just said I didn't feel like talking. She is not crazy or anything, she is very sweet but I have never seen her getting mad like this with ANYBODY, it always with me, about stupid little things, but this time I didn't SAY anything.

Obviously, she likes you. She doesn't like the fact that you are mad at her and doesn't want you to treat her any differently.

There are better ways to let someone know that you are angry with them.

The angry treatment isn't exactly a good thing to do, its sort of giving the other person the cold shoulder.

When her or anyone says anything that "ticks you off", just calmly speak with them about it in a mature adult matter. Sometimes things can be settled quicker so you do not feel that way anymore.

Dude, just brush it off and ignore it. If they can dictate your emotions you're going to be in for one hell of a roller coaster. Dont' react to crazy. If she pissed you off, then o'well ignore her bullsh*t. You don't have to answer any questions you don't want to. I just dealt with a similar issue with some nut case on here who only knew me for less than a week and started going all bat sh*t crazy. Pick your battles. Let her go crazy and you just mind your business. She'll come back and talk to you. If not, well plenty of fish in the sea. That is how I deal with my issues. It works for me, but judging by your personality it may not. I simply can not let someone dictate my train of thought through their emotional instability,whether it be 'that time of the month' for them, or they're just not happy things aren't going their way.

I tend to hold on onto things that piss me off a little too long and I usually react on it and say something, but this time I didn't want to say anything and just wanted time to cool off and then talk again. We are not friends or anything but I get the feeling that she LIKES me and I like her, because of the kind of reaction we get from each other when we feel ignored or whatever/ I have a big mouth and I didn't want to say anything mean to her, but obviously that was a bigger mistake
