Do girls know when a guy likes them?

Or are girls someitmes as oblivious to it as guys are when a girl likes him?

An example for college girls would be if a guy that lives on the same floor as you stops by to talk to you a few times. Then he eventually asks you if you wanna come hang out with him at the school cafe. Would you thinkn he likes you or do you think he is just being friendly?

I have to be hit over the head with a brick in all honesty. It's horrible I can never tell. Especially if we are friends and we are dating it confuses me. Once I was dating my best friend for a year and didn't even know. Apparently we got together while I messed up once and he thought it was all gravy, but never made a move since I didn't. Then once I thought we started dating he was like then what the hell have we been doing for the last year. Whoops I thought we just hung out an insane amount. True story.

A lot of the times I can tell. A guy wouldn't go out of his way to talk to me and ask me to hang out (alone) if he wasn't interested in me. I don't see too many guys going around pursuing platonic female friendships these days

its the most fucked thing. speaking as a 19 year old girl here whose a freshman in college. all throughout high school I was (and still am) a moderately attractive 6. an 8 when I put effort. I'd always fixate on one guy at a time, keep a small and all female group of introverted gal pals. we'd barely talk to guys because we were all just nervous and bumbly.
there was one girl in our group who had a nerdy little boyfriend but that was all. for all of junior and senior year I had this massive crush on a dude named daniel. he was quiet, witty, educated on multiple random topics and liked nerdy shit like cult films and Pokemon. anytime we'd interact I'd be a blushing and rambling mess. he'd also always hint at his girlfriend (who went to another school) whenever I was around. weirdly enough, that didn't stop my attraction. not like I ever acted on it either though. I think he eventually grew to just enjoy the flattery. like I said- I wasn't ugly. he also wasn't the cutest either. it really is true what they say-the human mind has a weird way of only making us crush on people within our league.
and the mind plays tricks on us. because other guys would flirt with me in high school. dudes holding doors open or just straight up blushing. they were friendly dudes. not all of it was flirting but when ur rolling with the introverted "doesn't talk to boys" girl group in high school (who are all moderately cute) it is harder to be approached because of a lack of social network. regardless- I never had any interest in these guys outside of Daniel. did I hold myself back in some regards? yes. do I have regrets? most definitely. hell I'd often be told "so and so said ur cute". whatever right? bro one time I just waved at Daniel and another guy around just commented "ugh of course Daniel".
my point in this spiel is this. when you're not into the guy, you can think clearly. it's easier to be objective because the ego does not feel threatened. on the other hand, if you're already into the guy, it can be hard to trust this little thing called intuition. emotions cloud intuition.
romance and attraction can be such a game sometimes. in my opinion really hot people have it easy and the less conventionally hot you are, the more often both parties will be scared of rejection and plagued by insecurity.
it's funny really. when I think about Daniel, this guy I had a massive crush on, I remember a period of time-2 months only-where I treated him normally. and he became friendly and borderline flirty. and then one day it hit me that I started having feelings for this guy. and it caused me to act aloof and standoffish (a defense mechanism). either way, just live in the present. c'st la vie

Girls really can be oblivious at times, so much so that me and my bestie have agreed to look for telltale signs that someone likes us! I could so totally see that this guy (now her boyfriend) liked her two months before she even noticed his advances. It wasn't like she was in denial about him, either. Really though, in the end it differs from girl to girl.

uhhhm if I'm not interested in him, I will notice if he likes me, but if I am interested in him I won't know. I might get the feeling but I will never assume he likes me

Girls are better with taking hints and reading body language than guys. So, I guess it's a yes, but not always.

I'm 100% oblivious. If it ever does come out that someone likes me it's always a huge shocker and I feel caught off guard.

Sometimes guys send mix signals so its sort of hard to tell if a guys is serious about you or not.. I think guys should be more direct and stop fearing that a girl will reject them..
