It depends on how attracted I am, or how well I've gotten to know them. Assuming we don't hang out much in the same social circle, or know each other too well.. I'd say when I was younger, I'd have lingering crushes that would last months, one time up to a year.
But nowadays, if I don't get to know someone at all, or we seem too different to the point that we wouldn't even make very good friends, I lose interest quick. A pretty face isn't enough to keep my attention, haha. I like people more, and longer, when I have the opportunity to get to know them. Sometimes the attraction keeps growing over time, until something happens that makes me not feel that way anymore, or someone I like more comes along. The last guy I liked, I liked for months and months before I decided we really are just better as friends.
I had a crush on a guy for 3 years in highschool (never really talked to him) and I still liked him in my first year in university. I have finally sort of gotten over him since he now has a girlfriend. I think it just hurts because I never made a move and I could have been with a really good guy.

Depends-the guy I like now I've been crushing on for about a year and I've never even spoke to him lol. The only thing that stops me from liking a guy is when I don't see him and I just move on and forget about him.
It varied a lot for me. I would like a guy, he would end up getting a girlfriend or I would come to the realization that I would never be able to date him. Or a friend got in between me and the guy I liked.
well it depends. it usually juss takes a guy to be a jerk to me fer me to get over him.

when I like a guy, I like him for a long time. usually for months.
most girls tend to like guys though until they find out that the guy doesn't like them back...that's what makes them want to stop liking them and then they actually do stop eventually.
ive liked guys for months and months and months...sometimes I just can't move on even after I realize that its not going anywhere. othertimes...there are very short crushes...prolly just because my attraction level isn't as high.
most o fthe time if a girl really likes a guy it takes ages to forget them unless he hurt her in any kind of way.
If we're talking about 1st/2nd crush and only talking occasionally then just months. It's when I get to know the guy better and see more of him that the crushes last years.
