Have you ever rejected someone you were attracted to?

have you ever rejected someone you were crushing on or even dating for a while because you were insecure or felt that maybe you aren't compatible with each other?

example: I was crushing on a girl I knew through mutual friends, and I think she was expressing heavy interest towards me, but I wasn't sure if it was true interest or if she just had a really friendly personality...because of my own insecurity and disbelieve in her signals I didn't reciprocate.

example 2: I've been going on a couple of dates with a girl that just got out of a 8 year relationship with her ex, and has a child with him. I was interested only in sex from her but I grew more attracted to her the more we started hanging out and talking more, and after she started expressing more interest towards me. I know a relationship between us might not work well at all, so I'm trying to slow things down and move on...

Yup, a few guys actually. I'll start with the most recent...

- gorgeous Puerto Rican with beautiful green eyes. He had kids : /

- Jamaican track star with the sexiest body. He was too clingy and pushy with trying to make me hurry up and be his girlfriend. We couldn't hang out without him trying to make me snap into the role of a girlfriend and it was annoying. It made me feel smothered.

- omfg gorgeous ass black, white, and Native American guy with cinnamon skin and glowing green eyes that almost looked blue! He was a certified skank and he was leaving for the Navy anyway :(

Yes. At the time I was really depressed and unhappy with my body and my features. So, I was so insecure that all the times he approach me I couldn't say a word, or even talk to him.

3 years have passed and I still think about it, if would be special if we met, if we were meant to be or just be good friends.

From time to time, I see him once and a while on the street, and my heart hurts.

But I've learned a lesson: never put myself down again and always take chances. :)

I rejected a boy who I liked once because he was my best friend's ex boyfriend. I also rejected another boy I liked because my OTHER best friend had liked him for a straight two years with no progress, so she was crushing really hard on him. But I've learned if your friends truly love you, they'll want you to be happy and stuff, so in the end their opinions don't matter if it's up to you meeting a person who you love.
