Girls: Would you sit near a guy you didn't find attractive?

I've been told by a lot of girls that I'm a pretty attractive guy, and girls are always flirting with me etc etc., The problem is I am kind of shy and inexperienced. There's this girl at work that I never talk to but we see each other a lot and we both smile and make eye contact, just have never said anything other than hi and kept walking.

The other day she sat one seat away from me in the break room while there were empty tables available. I really wanted to say something but I froze up and I had to go anyway so I just left. She probably thinks I don't like her now because of that and a few other instances where I'm just too nervous to say something.

Ladies, would you sit near a guy only if you found him attractive or am I just overthinking the whole thing?

hmm...your quesiton is very biased and loaded...too many outcomes and too many ways of addressing the dilemma of "sitting next to somebody only if they are attractive"

so I would go with that you are overthinking the whole thing.

BUT to answer your question, YES I would sit next to a guy if he's attractive. But if he isn't attractive, then I wouldn't care at all where I sit! HAHA

LOL I'm kinda in a similar situation, there is is guy who I see a lot but we never talk either. We see each other a lot because he is always at the library during 5th period and I always go there to do my hw..its pretty empty in there. he was said hi to me once and smiled at me a couple times.

I think he is realllly attractive and I'm interested in him..i don't know if I like him.

and guess what? I SAT next to him while we were on the computers! there was nobody else using tthe hundreds of empty computers and I chose the seat next to him...

oh wait, maybe he sat next to ME? I don't remember actually :p

I want to get to know him better but I'm afraid he might not be interested. because I feel like he doesn't care as much as I do. It's probably because us women are more emotional. and I'm not sure he shares any interest in me. I'm quesitoning this because he;s probably being friendly to be because that's the kind of guy he is. he's an overall nice guy so maybe he;s just being nice.

If you constantly find the girl sitting next to you then she probably finds you attractive, but honestly it's not always the case.

For example, when I first started college a guy from my orientation group (which was only about 10 people) was in my microeconomics class. Since I recognized him I sat with him during every class because he was the only person I knew. Eventually he asked me out and he was really surprised when I said no. I honestly didn't think about it that way until he pointed it out and then I felt bad. I just think that we girls don't categorize guys into "would date" and "would not date" as definitively as guys do to girls.

Yes, you are overthinking it. ;) but if there were other options available she probably sat near you hoping you would talk to her. She may be shy too. We girls like when men make the first move...there's a lot of biology behind the psychiatry of traditional male/female roles...I doubt you've lost your chance. If she's interested in you it's probably driving her nuts that you haven't made a move yet! But that can work to your advantage, creating anticipation. At some point though, you should talk to her...you will never know the outcome until you do.

Yeah, as Tipsy said, TELL her you're nervous. I've done that on plenty of occasions, even. 'I, uh- I, listen... I'm far too nervous but I really want to talk to you. Help.'

its much simpler and easier than you realize... if you had the guts to tell her exactly what you told us, like "hey... I'm nervous to talk to you but I think you're really pretty.."

to have the guts to say things like that means a lot to girls.. they love it when you're honest and speak your mind.

Grow some balls. You live once so get on it man. She may of sat next to you because she liked you and maybe not. People also smile just to be cordial so you could be reading too much into it but damnit just open your mouth and start speaking to the ladies.

I'm more likely to sit near a guy I don't find attractive than one that I do find attractive. Yes you are overthinking this.
