Why do girls avoid me after they reject me?

Why is it that once a girl rejects me she acts like I don't exist? What's the point of making it all awkward when there really isn't a need to? That just makes me feel bad when they do that.

I never even told this one girl I liked her. I never complimented her or anything. After having several small little conversations over a few weeks I just told her I wanted to get to know her better and wanted to get her number.

Why couldn't we still just be friends? I don't really care if she isn't attracted to me but I still enjoy how friendly she is to talk to.

cause girls usually feel badly after having to reject a guy and it's uncomfortable for them to think you like them and they told you they didn't like you that way. You could tell her that just because she didn't want to go out with you doesn't mean you can't be friends and talk like normal. It's not YOU they are avoiding it's the making you feel badly they are avoiding. If you just act normal towards them they'll be fine.

It may be that they now feel awkward around you because they know how you feel about them. Or they don't want to send the wrong signals to you since they've rejected you and so are avoiding you so that you don't get the wrong idea about their feelings towards you.

Could be they think now that you have been rejected you may try again or that they feel bad about rejecting you.

I've been in your shoes. It just makes them feel uncomfortable around you...because they feel bad that they had to reject you. She might think your mad at her. I had a girl who was a friend before I asked her out. She did the same thing...but when I started acting like I wasn't upset, and acted like I did before...she turned back into who she was before I asked her out.

Don't ask her to be friends. All you can do is be friendly...if she's not friendly back...then she's not worth your friendship.

bru, girls can sniff your intentions out from far . its not like they want to avoid you, its just that once you break the ice there no going back or very difficult to walk that road without bad memories coming thru. like they say friends to lovers is fine but lovers to friends is well to say 85% impossible or pretty much difficult
