"Little rascal', is that an insult or a compliment?

This guy & I have been communicating for about four months. One day we were talking about me bustin ass at the mill I work at in the summer (knw that I'm 5'2 105#) & I told him how I worked 50-70 hrs a wk in 90+ heat. He said wow nice! little rascal.

The one I'm confused with is...

It was my birthday yesterday & we were talking how it was Rodger's birthday as well (QB for the Pack). After a few mins, I said "no happy birthday to me? I see how it is...thanks lol :P"

Then he goes: "I wanted to see how long it took you to be like wtf lol happy b day ya little rascal!"

Any idea why I guy would do that? Just to be funny...or maybe flirty?

It is not proper to say anything on "little rascal" because the whole body tone has to be taken into account at the time of the delivery of these words. only then the actual intention can be spoken.

If while saying these words, he gazes deeply into your eyes and keeps a very evil grin on his face, then he might be just trying to flirt with you and wants to invoke your naughty side.. (out of the blue! :D )

However, it seems like this guy takes happiness by lightly abusing others. Obviously, if he likes you he shouldn't be using this word.

Check if this guy uses this word more often with others too. Then, you can conclude that its nothing but just a habit of carelessly using these word at the end of every sentence.. But if he uses this only for you and you are not a bad-evil girl type, then obviously its an insult. It will be advised from my side to not think about a relation with this guy if this is the case, because he might bring more abuse to you in words and be very wild and rough during sex to the extent of hurting you...

I JUST used that expression yesterday for the first time in ages. Funny you should have this posted!

Little Rascal is a reference to the old show in most cases. A group of kids in the neighborhood who are always finding themselves in some scrape or another and then figuring out how to resolve their dilemma in some childish way. (Alfalfa-Darla episodes tend to be the most popular.)

He's not really using the term properly, which means someone used it around him and he thought it would be cute for you. You should possibly ask him what he means by it since he's used it incorrectly...twice.

It's his little nickname for you. It's cute and not meant in any bad way. He was probably looking for something to call you to show his affection. Nicknames is a sign a guy likes you. I think he is simply using it because you are quite scrappy for a little chick working like that. If you just laugh when he calls you that, more likely you'll see he continues to.

It's just a way for him to show you he likes you.

Ummmmm what is he like 80yrs old? Lol that's an old term from like the 50's. Could be he likes you and was bein flirty w you otherwise he was just teasin you like in a friendly way. I think if he was interested in you he would have wished you happy birthday and done something special for you to show his interest. He sounds like friend material to me.
