Was this insulting and a backhanded compliment?

I kinda get compliments on my appearance frequently. I often have people that come to my register and tell me. It’s usually women of all ages or teenagers and I work as a cashier. Men don’t rlly tell me but it’s not hard to tell when a man finds me attractive.
Today I had this nice lady who didn’t come to my register but I guess saw me in the store and came to my register while I was with a customer and was like “you probably don’t get told this often enough but you are beautiful”. I said thank you but I felt like her saying I probably don’t get told often was kind of a jab lol. Was that a backhanded compliment?

I am going to say the lady probably/hopefully added that other part in because your store is busy or because you seem shy and a bit nervous around new people. I think she was just trying to be nice and not nice nasty.

Sounds perfectly fine to me. Most people are afraid to compliment each other anymore for fear of offending them.
