Why would a guy suddenly start ignoring a girl?

so I've been talking to this guy as friends, he is just really friendly...i have not flirted with him I'm just friendly also, we joke and have fun, I admit I do like him and have a crush on him but I have not made a pass at him or anything, I Haven't flirted at all I talk to him like I talk to other girls, and lately he has been ignoring me and I smiled at him and he just didn't even pay attention...? I don't understand what happened?

i mean I didn't wanna be too forward ya know? I always approach him and smile and say hi, I make jokes...but I thought that he friend zoned me...so I didn't flirt after that, we were still cool but now he's completely ignoring me. and I'm certain he had friend zoned me cause he called me sisterly

He probably liked(es) you but is at the point where he has realized that you aren't interested. Even if you are, it doesn't seem like that. Try flirting a bit if you like him. Although, that sisterly think is a red flag.

well I'm not sure if its sisterly basically he treats me like one the guys called me bro and dude and whatupp man, and I took the hint he friend zoned me. he hasn't asked for my number either. but the other day I caught him checking me out. now he just ignores me

That's really strange. Maybe he just doesn't know what he wants (sees you as a potential girlfriend vs. a friend) or he's scared to ruin your friendship in the event that he asks you out and you turn him down.

Its really almost impossible to say unless I just happened to know the guy personally. Maybe his parents are on his ass, maybe he is failing all his classes, maybe his best friend is giving him sh*t, etc.

I think the problem is that you're talking to a guy like you would normally talk to girls, if you accidentally call him girlfriend or girl. well unless he's gay...he's probably going to avoid you.
