Question says it at all. Specific situation: you walk into the classroom and greet your classmate (female) by means of smiling at her and an eyebrow flash.

An eyebrow flash is too little an action to try and judge if a person is attracted to you or not. It could just be how the person greets you. Try talking to the person. See if he/she takes an interest in you.

He often initiates the conversation. One time I was complaining about the teacher and he started joking like 'haha, let all the frustrations go' and later on he tried to make a joke but I didn't get the joke because of noise and he was like nvm. During an exam he winked at me. Would those signs mean anything?

That could just be how his personality is. He might have an interest in you. He might not. Go with your instincts. If you think he does, then he probably does. You could also just ask him. He'll probably just give you a straight answer.
