Are there different types of hugs?

If so,then which one do you prefer best? I like the firm ones from guys with a build and/or those that are taller thean me. I hate the fake ones where we barely touch(The Church Hug) or the half hugs...

Parental Hug

Ooh I wish this wasn't just a friendly, you gotta do it hug (like when people meet celebrities)

Amorous hug (which are kinda the hardest hugs imo) -because hugs are usually just cordial

Shelter me, keep me steady hug (those hugs are the best and worst)-bittersweet

I like Ooh I wish and Shelter Me hugs the most, because they just make me feel more.

when I was small enough, I'd give my mom a "monkey hug". I'd jump into her arms and wrap both my arms and legs around her. It stopped when I started getting too big for her to lift me. lol

I think there are intimate hugs and then there are social hugs. Intimate hugs are for relationships. Social hugs are 45 degrees and brief, so as not to be awkward.
