Do different kinds of hugs mean different things?

Like, obviously a side one arm hug is completely different than a full frontal both arms around head resting on your head, right?

To a extent, I think so. As stated a side hug is to make obvious to everyone that there is no relationship platonic or otherwise. Like a male teacher hugging a student.
If a guy hugs front on then it depends on if he is holding her full length or just the upper half, not to get to graphic but if its a full length hug where she can feel his…. you know what. Then it usually means he would like to know her better if they don’t already. Sometimes he will try to make her feel “it”. If she can’t feel “it” then it could be friends or platonic. His head on her head means he cares about her in some way.
There is of course exceptions to everything but this is probably the differences.

We said goodbye after doing the deed with a full frontal hug, both arms wrapped around each other. We’ve got kind of a major height difference, so it’s kinda hard to judge where his arms could’ve really gone. It definitely lasted longer than a normal hug and his head was on top of mine.

Were you in a relationship or just a hook up? If your regular then it was probably that he likes you. But if you were just hooking up then it could mean he likes you or that he’s going to miss you. This is one of those grey areas. What is your height and his? Did he put his hands on your ass or just hug

This wasn’t the first nor the last time we had sex. We’ve been in an on again off again relationship and have been very open about our feelings towards each other. The only reason we’re not together at the moment is because of distance, so instead we’re constantly texting and whenever he comes home, we spend time together. As foolish as it sounds, I just get a little insecure sometimes and that’s why I asked this question in particular.
I’m 5’1 and and he’s like 5’9 or 5’10. He didn’t put his hands on my ass, it was just a prolonged hug goodbye.

I agree the hug was a “goodbye i will miss you hug”
That is a big height difference. My wife is 5’ and i am 6’2”. So its a big difference.

I was just kind of worried he only did it because he felt obligated to since we had sex. It didn’t feel like it, but really what do I know.
