She ignored me in public, but now is mad at me for ignoring her

I finally got frustrated with a girl who basically doesn't want to date me, though we tried a few years ago. She's really shy and she had this thing where when there was a bunch of people around she'd ignore me. Pretend I wasn't there. Wouldn't even talk to me or say hey.

And yet I still came up to her and initiated things.

I finally realized I deserved better than that and started to do the same to her as she did to me. It got to the point where I even stopped initiating with her when we were one-on-one and only acknowledged her if she said "hey" to me first.

Well, it looks like I pushed her buttons too much because now she's blatantly ignoring me. Last time, all she did when she walked past me was look at me with a neutral expression and kept walking.

I don't feel all that bad. She's a hot girl, she gets a lot of attention. I'm slightly below average-looking and have to work for attention. Should I feel bad that she's mad at me? I was just doing to her what she did to me.

sigh, I know games suck but we sometimes end up in such situations unwantingly cause we fear coming on too strong or fear getting rejected we fear letting our guard down, sometimes ego gets in the way no one wants to be the first to say something. this happened to me with a guy once, but I was ignoring him cause he hurt my feelings and also he rejected me after I asked him out. I didn't enjoy ignoring him, I didn't think he would care if I ignored him, I simply was trying to get over him and give him his space too cause he obviously had no feelings for me. I didn't think he gave a sh*t about me.

so my point here is, may be you did something that hurt her? may be you put her off? may be she saw a negative side of you when you didn't realize it? whether you meant it or not, there are obviously misunderstanding between you two. and if you have the courage and heart and really care about her, you should talk to her, pull her aside tell her you need 2 minutes of her time, talk to her. let her know you have nothing against her and want to know why she is ignoring u. and may be even apologize if you hurt her in any way like ignoring her as well. when you make up with someone both parties need to apologize for what they did. be the bigger person. if you find that after talking to her in person doesn't work, then just let it go and move on. but at least you'll walk away knowing you tried and were the better person, more mature. she will be the one to wonder and the one to have lost- a guy that liked her.

it's the other way around. I'm you in your situation. I feel like I'm giving her space, etc., by ignoring her because obviously she doesn't want me by refusing to date me and not acknowledging me when other people are around.

I kinda know how she feels... She probably KNOWS she is being stupid for ignoring you. I myself do that sometimes and I blame myself SO much afterwards... If you think it should be okay doing this, go ahead and ask her directly to not ignore you, and you won't ignore her as well.

If she is like me, she over-thinks what she is going to say to you and ends up not saying anything at all, and then thinks it would be awkward if she said something after so much time.

Maybe she shy..and assumed that's how you would want things, plus she's shy. I don't think she did it malicious intent just her nerves. And we don't like to come off as clingy. Why don't you ask her out.. You both like each other and fustrated that either of you are capable of making a move. And it's seems lily it's just one big misunderstandings and lack of communication. The route Ur taking with her no body wins..

Women don't want coming on too strong that's why they act that way. You should just apologize and strive to get her attention next time when you're in public.
