Is it attractive to guys when a girl is "motherly"?

Or "maternal" or whatever.

I volunteer with a lot of kids, am usually around kids, babysit alot, etc and I'm going to school to become a teacher. I just love kids! lol.

People don't usually think I would be the type by first glance for some reason (I've been told), and I know some guys who have learned this about me either love it or get turned off by it. It's not like I'm going to treat a guy like he's my son though LOL!

Is this attractive to guys? Or does it make the girl seem "childish" ?

Little boys would of course be looking for a p*rn doll with no nursery related accessories, such as children. Older men might want a plugin instant mom for when they have their kids on visitation. Even older men would want a girl your age, but one that isn't interested in having kids, because the man is done breeding.

Anyway, the nice part of my answer is the RIGHT guy will love that you are good with children.

If you're looking for someone to share your life with and are open to having a family, run screaming from the guys who don't like kids. They end up acting like moody step-parents, I'd assume. Their children would grow up to be angry neglected people who neglect those around them.

And I'm back to not being nice. Mea culpa.

You're a very pleasant person and you deserve (although I hate the word deserve, and can rant for hours on the mass advertising campaign to make us all entitled children...) to be happy.

Not like some grousing middle aged person who doesn't get to see his kid much, but would love to have someone like you to help provide the social grace I... er, I mean he, apparently needs to see the boy more often.

Because he'd assume a woman with the inter-relationship skills to connect with a group of children and be a positive influence would be good at making his world more social, more inter-connected.

Of course, it'd be more entertaining to assume you meant you'd baby me in a relationship. That'd be more fun. Soothe my ire. Would you forgive my grumpiness, encourage my happiness, make me warm milk and get me an ice pack for this hellish ache in my spine, then maybe tuck me into a big fluffy frilly bed you've decorated, nuzzling me against your breast, while I sleep?

God, I'm just going to keep that vision in my head, and toddle off to sleep.

I think strong maternal love an instinct would be an asset that any guy would appreciate in a woman, As a guy, I would admire those qualities because I would know that while I'm away at work, the children would be getting all the love they can get, while being cared for lovingly and competently.

I personally would not find my children as annoying, but I view them as a symbol of love between and an extension of both parents. I think that the child is the greatest gift that a couple can share with one another. It's a quality I realize a lot of guys lack, but I still feel most would also share similar views as mine.

I think being caring ad compassionate especially when you are not legally obligated to be, is attractive. Woman or Man. Not only is it attractive, but Id specifically find guys unattractive who did not have those qualities.

neither. some guys feel like you will ask them to propose to you and have children. others feel like you are extra cute and with the right looks you'd be cute and sexy at the same time which is the best thing ever.

It's not weird. I seek it. I like feeling the affection. I like feeling cute. Adored. Baby-talk too. No not being literally treated like a baby, but it's complicated. For me it's innocent. I think I'm broked. Yes I said "broked". Wanting to feel cuddled, taken care of. I hope I find that love. At the same time I want her to know I'm masculine and protective, dominant. So I guess it's just being vulnerable. I wanna be held or fall asleep with my head on her lap while she plays with my hair. Did that help?

Only people who don't want to assume responsibility not love children. Peers may find opportunity is less, you find a single man with children may be more able to talk to.

as long as she is not obsessed with the children and forget about love life and sex it's OK. actually I have always liked my teachers while I was in school. some of them were really beautiful. I still fantasize about them. I like girls who love children. I am sure some of them are goint to  have a crush on u.

It depends on how soon the guy wants kids, because he's going to interpret your behavior as wanting to make babies ASAP. If the guy wants that, he'll find your behavior attractive, otherwise it'll probably be a turnoff.

Yes it is.  And any guy who is mature enough to think beyond satisfying his own sexual needs will be quick to admit it.  After all, a man is choosing a lifetime mother for his children and grandmother for his grandchildren.

I don't mind a woman that likes children and is around children. I'm around children at my job, and I find them to be a mild annoyance. I think a woman that is nurturing and caring even for her boyfriend or husband is sexy. Maybe I just like that type of woman. I'm kind of on the sensitive side, maybe that's why I find motherly or nurturing women sexy.

I think it's great. While I'm only 23 and not quite ready for a child yet, I do find it very attractive if I see that a girl would be a great mom. Cause then I'll know she can take care of our child when I go to work to pay the bills. BTW you have some gorgeous eyes:)

Yes, men will find you attractive. Nature has "programmed" people with the urge to procreates. So people seek out, whether consciously or unconsciously, mates who would be good parents for their children. That's not just a matter of physical characteristics (an appearance of good health), but of emotional and other aspects as well. That's great, I think it's a very feminine trait.  A lot of guys would see "caring\motherly" as a positive girlfriend-material attribute. Of course, if you treat adults like children, that would turn us off.
