Is having motherly qualities attractive? I'm only 19.

I went out to dinner with a couple of my guy friends and it was brought up how I am just a motherly person. I don't really see myself that way but I guess I am! Do guys find this attractive?

Some guys do get pretty weirded out by it. The fear is that her only ambition for their relationship is to have children. Others aren't bothered by it and see it as a plus, especially if they like kids themselves.

I see it as a plus. It shows that a girl isn't self-centered, and I love kids. However, if I were on a date and the girl I was dating saw a child, cooed at it, and then looked longingly into my eyes, it would scare me a little bit. Or a lot.

Hahaha god that'd be a little creepy. They elaborated a bit and just said I'm just caring so I guess I have nothing to worry about unless I wanted to be in a relationship with a guy just for a baby and I don't see that happening! lol

I'm nineteen as well and I think having motherly qualities very attractive. Of course when I think mother, I think my mother specifically. She's funny, well spoken and has great advice! Sure, she drinks a little bit too much but I have to over look that; she's my mother!

Anyway. Caring girls are the best, a lot of times boys just want someone who will love them for who they are; inside and out. At least that's what I want.

Teenagers are rebels against their parents so they wouldn't really appreciate such traits. But as they grow older, they really appreciate a woman like that.

Depends. If its the nurturing type of motherly qualities, yes, those women are awesome. If its the nagging mother type of quality like my sister had, then NO.
