What's a good response if your boyfriend gives you a compliment?

So my boyfriend is starting in the habit to give me compliments and I normaly just say thanks are you suppose to return a compliment or what?

I'm the kind of guy that only gives compliments when I mean them, while some guys hand them out like candy. I always heard that over complimenting a girl scares her off and makes you seem needy. So my point is, if he's doing it so much that it makes you feel uncomfortable, ignore it and maybe he'll take the hint, or if you're fine with how much he compliments you, sincerely return the compliment with one of your own.

Thank you is sufficient. Returning a compliment earns you points. Having a hot makeout session with him based on a random compliment from him is quintiple points. First to 1,000 wins.

  -shrug- That wasn't serious. However returning compliments does really earn you points with people. I should not call them "points". I should call it something more human like "Respect" or "Admiration".

  The only secondary idea is to capitalize on the statements. For instance if he compliments you on a specific hairstyle for a special occasion you purposefully wear your hair that way, etc. Shows you are listening, which of course really is worth triple points. People like seeing their compliments, suggestions, and statements actualized.

You can give your most sincere smile and you can give some sort of gift or you can tell him that sunset is what remind of him.Follow your heart.
