He asked me if I liked him?

he's a really close friend of mine...

long story short at 2am we were had been pulled over and were waiting for the cops to process our id's & everything.

and he looked over at me smiling and said "[my name] do you like me?" I didn't answer at first because I was shocked then he said "huh?" and I nodded my head yes. Then he said "well what do you like about me. what's good about me?" and I said "I don't know a lot of things.." and he said "well I don't see them.."

I wanted to say a bunch of things but I couldn't..so we just sorta changed the subject. I haven't seem him yet..but I don't know if I should bring that up again ? or does it sort of sound like he isn't really interested ?

If he asked you if you like him, that is a pretty good hint that he likes you. He was trying to get an idea to see if you can reciprocate the feelings that he has for you before he asks you to be his girlfriend, etc. It sounds to me like he is really interested.

If you like him why don't you ask him to be your boyfriend? You have nothing to lose but everything to gain, right?
