Do girls ever reject guys they like?

I thought that this girl was into me at college. At first she was quiet but after I made an effort she started sitting by me and talking to me. We would walk with each other and wold be touching why we were walking. She would always talk about how she didn't have plans over the weekend. So one day when we were chatting on Facebook I asked when she would be free to get together and she never responded. I don't think she is very experienced with guys just because she has a lot of friends on Facebook and guy don't really like her pictures or statuses to often and she also doesn't have any pictures with any guys.

Sometimes there are circumstances why girls will reject guys they like. I am currently in that situation, I like this guy so much, but even though he is expressing a lot of interest in me, I am rejecting to have sex with him and date him, cause I am unsure of his actions. I am not into players, and it seems like he is one, but I just don't want to get hurt. So there could be many reasons why, and one of them could be that she has little to no experience with guys, and she could also be rejecting you cause maybe you seem like a player, or she's a virgin, etc.

Like I said many reasons, but to answer your question, yes! Girls will reject guys they like depending on the circumstances, and like I said I am currently in that type of a situation, where I do want to go further with this guy, but I act like I want nothing to do with him, cause I am just so unsure how he really feels about me. If I were you I would keep on talking to her and make her feel at ease. If she is the type that has no experience with guys then you have to take your time with her so she can build a trust with you. So for now I would just talk to her and then once you guys get closer ask her on a date, etc. Just take it slow with this girl, cause she seems conflicted, and/ or has little to no experience with guys.
