Why do guys stutter when you give them a compliment?

Today I gave my crush a compliment I think he seemed to be a little shocked. But he got really nervous and started stuttering is that a good thing or bad ? It was just us to no one else was around.

You didn't stress if he had a history of "slurred speech" whenever chit chatting before, or if this is was the first time you had ever heard his "sweet nothings in your ear," to sort of speak. If this is just a case of being skiddish, which some people experience when feeling edgy, intimidated, over thinking perhaps, it is clear that this is just an old fashion case of "the jitters. If he was "all this", he definitely was "into you." Yes, "a good things" for you, a "bad thing" for him if he would have a problem with---his way with words.

Because A) Most compliments sound fake and or forced and B) Girls usually give them to the good looking guys. If a girl gave a compliment to an ugly, average or below average looking guy he will look at her, like she's crazy, drunk or high on drugs. I've had a few girls on here call me cute after seeing my picture but I know deep down its all bull shit. How do I know? I even asked them if I were to ask them out what would they say? All of them said No so I'm only cute in a pic but not good enough to date? Girls=Hypocrites.

Someone can think your just cute, or hot or whatever and not be a dateable person. Most of the time it has nothing to do with how you look but your personality

Keep the compliments and the hints going, the fact he stuttered shows he probably isn't the most confident of guys so don't expect him to make a proper move on you too quickly

If its in public around people, it'd be like common courtesy. However if its one on one conversation, the person will see it as if you're actually being more sincere about what you mean about complementing them. At least, my way of seeing it with close friends I have a minor crush on.

at least for me I think it's more likely for a guy to complement a girl than to get one from a girl.

I know I'm surprised to get a complement and am unsure what to do other than saying thanks and maybe complementing back. What should a guy do after a girl complements her

I've never been complimented but He's probably now anxious from a girl being nice to him and hoping your going to be a girlfriend that's how id take it, guys are desperate cause getting a girlfriend is very rare or impossible for guys it is that way for me
