I Told my crush I liked him and now it's awkward.. can I confront him? (and how?)?

long story: so this guy, we have two classes together and it seems we have a lot in common, although we haven't really talked all year exept for a little. it's always been awkward to me, and I actually thought he knew I liked him so I told him online (it was weird because it was on an anonymous question website (ask) so he didn't know it was me until I dropped a major hint and he was like "I seeeee"). now in class its really awkward and we haven't really talk about it. I guess I feel like I have no closure? or maybe I just want to be his friend? I'm not really sure but I feel like I need to confront him, and I'm not sure how. like I've said its really awkward between us, we hardly talk so I understand he's probably freaking out about now. what makes it worse is after I told him a bunch of anonymous questions started popping up on his ask, they sound a lot like they were me (I'm like 200% sure he thinks I was asking them) but they're not, so if he thinks they are its going to be even more awkward...

This exact same thing literally happened to me three months ago. I told him over text (I didn't have an ask at the time) and it got all awkward. I never confronted him and now he hardly talks to me. I would say to confront him.
And make sure he knows that you're not the one asking all the questions on anon x]

only problem is.. all year we've gone basically not talking to each other (we're both sorta awkward and nerdy) so it's probably really creepy for him..

If you don't confront him, you're always going to wonder what if, besides whats really the worst that happens, you stop talking? there's SOOO many other guys out there, and if he stops talking to you for something as small as this, then it shows he wasn't even worth your time!

Confront him. Your never going to have your chance if your not straight up with him. Just be yourself.
