Polls: Flirting

So my roommate at first said it was cool that I have my boyfriend over all the time, but now she wants me to text her every time I have someone over. Like every single time. I told her I'm not going to do that and that she doesn't have to warn me if people are here. Like, we live in the dorms. If you don't want to be with other people you can go to the study lounge or something or if you're really tired or something I told her that she could just ask me to GTFO for a while.

Would you expect someone to tell you every time you had someone over? I think she means just my boyfriend, but it isn't like she's walking in on us. I tell her when we need alone time (for sex) but sometimes my boyfriend and I just want to watch a movie (he also lives in the dorms, but he's on the top bunk and the top of the hill so we don't stay in his room as much). I told her he won't be spending the night or anything but she said she doesn't know him so it's awkward. Yeah, that's college. We're roommates, not besties. My boyfriend's roommate has invited his girlfriend to sleep over three times already (we moved in a week ago) on school nights, sleeping on the bed under him. *That* is awkward. I think she needs to deal.

What is your opinion on this? I'm not going to start asking permission to have people over during the day (we live in the dorms, you can just walk into someone's room) but I'm not going to go out of my way to be a d***.

As a note, she is a freshman and this is my second year here.

I joined an online dating site (im 26, female, aussie) and got emails from an aussie man for about 2 weeks. I replied very little as I got a feeling he was too comfortable already, asking me to come to his place to watch a movie. I got the feeling we wanted different things so let it go.

Then he started emailing me again, but stopped asking me to come to his place - just talked about normal things again. After a week and a half of emails I let him have my number.

A few days later he called me and we had an hour long chat. It was great and interesting. He asked if I'd like to catch up sometime but I said I still wasn't sure .

Then after 3 weeks of phonecalls and really getting along like a house on fire, he sent roses, chocolates, perfume and a teddy to my work (I mentioned where I worked when he asked). I was won over by this & agreed to meet him in public.

We met at a restaurant/bar and by the time I got there he was already tipsy. He bought drinks for us both all night and when I offered to buy he wouldn't let me. we talked for an hour and a half and then had a kiss. It was nice.

The date went on for 3 hours in total, he was very enigmatic and energetic. When I felt myself getting tipsy I excused myself and thanked him for a good night. He put me in a cab, but not before asking me to please come home with him to hang out more.

I went home and felt relieved that I kept my boundaries. But then he kept calling and I gave in, I let him come to my place. Regretfully we slept together. I was drunk and he was drunk - it wasn't special. Anyway the next morning he bounced out of bed and seemed high strung. He left at about 10am and I figured I would never ever hear from him again.

He texted me almost immediately and apologized profusely for not letting me just go home alone. He told me he was so smashed he hardly remembered anything. Anyway I felt pretty low but let it be. He asked me if he had 'f&cked things up' and I said no...

Anyway, days of texting passed, he called once or twice...it just wasn't the same...he seemed really stressed when he would call - talking about how his brother is causing troubles again (his brother seems to be immature - part of a gang or something in sydney) and that his brothers friend had lost his 'prime-mover' - a v expensive truck (he has a logistics company). Then I pressed him to find out if he was into me or not cause I don't want excuses - but he told me he was - he just had serious sh*t going on. then he told me they found the truck - with a tip off from his bro - so his bro may have set it up. Anyway it all feels off between us now, I kept pressing him and now he's irritated at me and Haven't heard from him in 3 days after a little text war. so in 2.5 weeks we had one date, a few calls and texts.

I think I acted too desperate after we slept together. Was too keen on another date. I regret that a lot.

By Asian eyes I mean the typical Chinese/korean/japanese eyes.

Some people seem to like Asian eyes. I myself am Asian and I don't like Asian eyes. I think bigger eyes are way more expressive. Also when it comes to makeup, Asian eyes are such a pain.. especially monolids, Idk, but smokey eyes on monolids just doesn't look as seductive and sexy as smokey eyes on a white girl.

Of course, maybe not physically cheating, but do you think it is a FORM of cheating? Or is it harmless and okay? What do you think?

Would you personally tolerate your partner flirting with others while in a relationship with you?

I just feel there is so much controversy about this. I'd say most girls would prefer to be rather thin, while supposedly men prefer women to be a bit thicker. But then when you look at actresses or models that men find hot they're all very skinny

So what is it? I realize it's personal preference, hence the poll. I'd just like to see where the majority lies. Girls can answer too.

I met him this year and we're friends but not that close. I've had actual conversations with him before but all in class (but we talked about things unrelated to class). A few of my friends told me that I should tell him I like him and the only reason I'm considering it is because we only have one week of school left and the chances of us having any classes together next year are very slim.

By the way I am in high school. And if you vote yes and you have any ideas on how to tell him then please share. Ideas like through a note or something. I might freak out and walk away right after telling him if I try to tell him it to his face, I've actually done that before.

IN ADDITION please explain why you voted a certain way

Someone I know has these really thick, bushy eyebrows. She barely tweezes 1/4cm along the top of her nose to make them look like two separate brows. She insists that this is the "real her" and that guys find it attractive, but in actuality, all the guys who approach me comment on her eyebrows.

She sees them staring at her and figures they're just SO in love with her that they can't take their eyes off her, but in actuality the boys came up with a few cruel nicknames to call her behind her back. (I heard them once and reprimanded them.)

Anyway, one of the guys who was staring says he can't help it because they're "mesmerizing" -- he looks sarcastic, but as far as I know, "mesmerizing" is a positive effect... so SHE'S RIGHT in presuming that guys stare at her because they are drawn to looking at her face.

Her personality leaves much to be desired, but we won't talk about that. I'd like to know your take (guys) on whether a unibrow is attractive on a girl.

I've noticed that when you have feelings for someone, they become more attractive to you. So when I had moved on from my ex's, I looked back at pictures or even in person and I thought to myself, 'how did I ever find them attractive?'. Even my mum questioned what I ever found attractive in them in the beginning! I guess love is blind, haha!

So do you find your ex unattractive now you've split up?

This year I am taking AP Stats, and don't understand a thing that goes on in that class. I am getting a terrible grade, and my parents keep saying I need to get a tutor. I keep saying that I don't want one because I don't think it is necessary to pay the money for one since I am already accepted to college, and there is so little time left before the AP exam that it will not make much of a difference anyway, even though in reality I'm sure that it would still help. Even though I am opposed my parents made me ask my teacher if he could suggest someone to tutor me, and he said he did not know anyone who could tutor for his class. My cousin lives not too far from me though, and has an extremely hot friend who is also extremely smart, and especially good at math. My mom just told me that he would be able to tutor me. I still do not think tutoring is necessary, although my parents do and I'm sure it would help. Now I have a dilemma though about the boy, because if I agree to having him tutor me then that gives me a chance to see him, when without him tutoring me I would most likely never see him again. On the other hand, I'm terrible at stats, and think him tutoring me would just make him think I'm stupid when I don't understand basically anything while he thinks it is all very easy.

So my basic question, if you were ever tutoring a girl could you enjoy spending the time with her and ever end up liking her, or would the fact that she is struggling with things so easy to you be a turn off?

(the actual fact about whether I should get a tutor isn't what I'm asking because I already know that I don't really want one, but getting one would probably help my grade)
