Can you get high off of pixie sticks?

remember those differant colored stick packets full of suger welllll... so I was at a summer camp and me and my friends started messing around and we started shooting it up our noses. not exactly smart cause after awhile we all started to go crazy. wanna know if we were faking it or if we were actually high
