Does chewing gum make you feel sick?

It's very many years since last time I tried chewing gum and I've only tried it two times. Once to see if I liked it or not and the second time since it was supposed to prevent me feeling motion sick in the car. I've never liked chewing gum and finds it gross. But I can't remember I felt sick of it. Perhaps because I spit it out after a few seconds.

It's because your body thinks that you are eating food and it starts producing acidic fluids to help "destruct" the so expected food. When there is enough of this fluid, it can resemble the feeling of being sick

No. The only time it does that is if it starts deteriorating after chewing it for too long, bleh!

nope it is always good to eat gum!
i have tried many flavors,
they never make me sick,
in fact when traveling on a vehicle a bus or train
i usually feel sick like going to throw up!..
but chewing gum helps me keep my guts normal

Yes I've noticed this as well. It only seems to happen when it's on an empty stomach.
