Syrup of ipecac? Yes, you can buy it over the counter. When it's needed, there isn't time to get a prescription for it. If you are already nauseated from tainted food then simply stimulating the gag reflex will usually work. Ipecac is more often used when someone (often a child) has unintentionally ingested a poisonous substance.

It's an OTC. But seems like it's not very effective for poisons.

Do not induce vomiting to lose weight. Repeatedly inducing vomiting (bulimia) has severe health consequences.
