I love sushi. There is a place that makes authentic Japanese Sushi in my town, and I love it. So much variety and flavor. It turned me off grocery store sushi forever!

Also, sushi is really impacted by the sauce served with it. Soy sauce and spicy mayo sauce can make any sushi better. Sashimi is great too!

Delicious, but for rich people. I can't afford eating it more often than once a year, it's super expensive.

My family came from the USSR. If the country is capitalist there is a way to buy something healthy.
Even inside the USSR people engaged in free trade when they could, which allowed many to buy really good quality products at a time when areas with more state oversight were on the verge of hunger. Poland, as far as I am aware, is a fully capitalist state. This means shelves should be full of EU and non-EU products. If that is not the case, then I see your point.

It has to be freshly prepared real sushi not the prepacked crap you get in supermarkets. There's a world of difference between sushi prepared with love and skill and the shit served up in chains.

Sushi tastes great, but it is unsustainable. There's no excuse not to take responsibility as a consumer living in the North.

Sushi is not unsustainable, for two reasons. First, much of the fish used in sushi is farmed, including sake (salmon), hamachi (yellowtail) and unagi (fresh water eel), among others. Second, sushi is a style of food preparation that does not require fish. There are a lot of sushi dishes that are vegetarian.

I agree we need to cut back on consumption of some fishes (eg, bluefin tuna) but that won't compromise our ability to make sushi.
