I tried eating a frozen bunny for Thanksgiving one year. They sell frozen bunnies at my supermarket on occasion. I had two bites of the cooked bunny and it tasted like shit. Elmer Fudd can have them. Sadly, I through the rest of the bunny out.
My daughter-in-law cooked squirrel though. That's was good - it was fried and that's a food group where I live. All fried food tastes the same. What sucks about squirrel or bunny is that there's no prime rib.

with their tongue and sense of smell I would think
Rabbit is considered trief, or unfit under some dietary laws.
I wouldn't be averse to eating it if I had no other choice, but I would have have to have seriously no realistic other choice, and be protein deficient. We have what feels like hundreds around our summer cabin. If they were your pet though, i'd have issues with killing it off for me to eat. It is not customary for people in North America to eat their cats or dogs.
I’d never want to find that out

I played and gave names to fluffy rabbits that my grandfather kept in cages. One day I saw my grandpa slaughtered one, rabbits scream like little cats if they know their time is over. I was shocked and disappointed, but I ate it to dinner.
Rabbit tastes like turkey. This meat doesn't have some specific taste like beef or duckHasenpfeffer is AMAZING, if made properly, with the right balance of seasonings!
Not that different than chicken but maybe a bit more 'gamey' and a different flavor than most are liking.I haven't been able to try it yet, but I was told that it tastes amazing. I'd love to try it sometime. I'm not really opposed to eating cute things, because pigs and cows are cute to me too, but I want the meat to be from "happy" animals
The rabbits that are raised for food are a breed that has been developed especially for eating. The meat is extremely lean and very high in protein. It tastes much like chicken.
I don’t know and I never want to know. I am morally opposed to eating cute, fluffy things.
I guess that is sweet. No I think Australians are afraid of cute thing with cruel behave.
You shall learn from them.I love rabbits and bunnies and whatnot but I have eaten some. It was like a stronger flavored, slightly dryer chicken, more like that than red meat I think.
I felt really bad eating it but it was a wild rabbit.I've been told that it's delicious. I wanna try it.🌚
Something like a more flavourful chicken you could say
Semi earthy I guess you could say? It’s pretty good
A bit gamey like dark chicken... I last had it in a great stew and had it cooked over an open fire
It's like chicken. And really good, it prepared properly.
I read it tastes like Chicken but some what wild taste?
I feel bad eating animals but the way I see it if someone is killing them and cooking them I can't save them so if it tastes good I will eat it
Omg they look so cute indeed. I have never tasted Goose meat, bird meat, rabbit and some other sweet animal meats lol
I haven't had rabbit in a long time, but from what I remember, it's delicious.
As long as you get it before it gets too old, it is quite nice, especially in a stew with spaghetti.
If memory serves me right rabbit tastes a little like chicken.
I would like to try. You're only cherry picking the cute ones though. Pigs and chickens can be cute too but i love bacon and nuggets.
The ones that you eat around this time of year taste like milk chocolate
