Having ranch dressing or bleu cheese on hot wings is like saying you are a vegetarian and ordering a bucket of chicken at KFC.
Here's why:
Buffalo hot wings are hot because of a pepper sauce. Peppers, especially hot peppers, contain capsaicin which gives a burning feeling thus making hot wings "hot".
However, capsaicin is neutralized by casein which is in dairy products. So, for instance, if you eat something really hot in the spice sense, drink milk. It will help your lips now and your stomach later.
Well, ranch dressing and bleu cheese contain dairy products so they contain casein and, thus, neutralize the capsaicin making hot wings into boring wings.
In other words, they defeat the purpose of hot wings!
So, if you want to actually enjoy hot wings, skip dairy products except for perhaps some milk or yogurt after you are done to cool down your lips and save your stomach tonight and asshole in the morning.
Bleu cheese or gtfo. I heard ranch is more of a west coast thing when it comes to wings, like it’s the standard side that comes with them. I don’t know if that’s a fact, just what I’ve heard.
I still dont know what bleu cheese is but sounds nasty. I definitely dont like ranch. It smells awful and the scent makes me puke. The smell/taste of milk does too. I usually get BBQ sauce or Buffalo sauce on the side to dip my wings in

I eat them without wing sauce I like honey mustard. Ranch comes in second. Just remember ranch is the same as blue cheese until you add the cheese crumbles
Bleu cheese hands down but I don't like the thin runny ones you get in a jar at the store., I like them thick made from the restaurants like Miami wings. I don't like Ranch. I also dip my carrots and celery into bleu cheese

To be honest about I am not a picky person to please. A lot of my friends ask me why.. I tell them nicely that is the wayI was raise from my grandparents on my Mother side also my Dad side. Food is food.
