As a kid I loved pulling out the coupons on the machines

I love to find a new recipe online and get all of the ingredients for it. It is always so exciting!

I also love stocking up on fresh herbs (I have begun cooking with them and am now obsessed and use lots of them)! Fresh basil, cilantro, and Italian parsley are 👌. Also rosemary and thyme for steak and chicken!

I like the social part. I always run into people I know and I'm friendly with some of the employees who've worked there a long time. I usually end up in a conversation with a stranger at some point. It can also be a chance for me to get out of the house alone.

For me it's the nostalgia of remembering going there with my mom when I was a kid. The coolness walking past the refrigerated cases. The smell of fresh bread in the bread isle. If it wasn't for the surveillance cameras they have these days I'd be practically dancing in the isles.

Knowing that I won't have to return for another week- or hopefully even longer. I hate grocery shopping.

This sounds silly but my favourite part about grocery shopping is the conversations I have - like if I go to produce stocker and ask him to help me locate an item or if it was before covid and I'm sampling a cheese or beef product advertised in the weekly ads - or if I'm chatting up strangers who are waiting alongside me for items at the store - that is fun.

Yeah only if my mom and I are the ones shopping and my dad is in the car waiting. Because all he does is make us hurry and yell at us if we are “taking too long”.
