What foods do you HATE?

Living in South Africa has brought a world of spices not common in England. Here they are added to meats - especially halal meat. The big one is ground coriander. I think. As one spice in Cape Malay curries I can almost deal with it, but they put it in EVERYTHING. Hospital food is bad. Months of the hospital providing meals that make you physically nauseous and the doctors being unable to fathom why I wasn't gaining weight is worse than the Covid that put me in ICU to start with.
And halal rules mean you can't use a knife that's halal to cut a ham sandwich because the knife, the plate, the work surface you made it on are now haram. "Unclean".
As if the spices aren't enough then there's "Macon". It's the halal bacon, except it's beef and tastes nothing like it. Eventually my loving wife sent me a ham sandwich. Visitors weren't allowed because of the Covid protocols so she had to find a way to get it to me.
I've never loved her more than I did the evening the sandwiches arrived. Basically an 800g loaf of sliced bread made into plain ham and tomato sandwiches. Total weight around 5lbs.
I finished them in under ten minutes.
Only time in my life I'd gladly say that food meant more to me than if she'd managed to get in and spent an hour giving me a blowjob. After I ate them I felt a sense of peace far better than any orgasm ever gave me.
So food I hate: halal spices in Cape Malay cooking and Macon.
Everything you just said you hate I hate but I have to add two more lima beans and oatmeal cereal I love oatmeal cookies LOL lima beans are just too dry to Chewy something. And oatmeal cereal I was forced to eat it when I was younger and it always felt like boogers sliding down my throat so LOL that's why I don't like that. Long time ago I was doing a job at by my aunt and uncle's house instead of going all the way into town to get something to eat I stopped at my aunt's house and look in refrigerator I told her I was starving she said make yourself a sandwich there's some beef in there it looks like a roast beef so I made two sandwiches if there's two kind of tastes a little bit weird but I'm so hungry I didn't matter after I get done eating them she asked me how did I like how brain I just looked at her she started laughing and I said I got to go thank you you could come back tomorrow for lunch
Seafood, okra, eggplant, olives, licorice, liver, (almost everything made from pork), goat balls, goat meat, cow tongue, grasshoppers, rabbit meat, squirrel meat, deer, beets, mushrooms, and cactus. (I hate it but I can tolerate it every once in awhile with pico de Gallo) lol
Heavily processed foods, high salt content - too much salt spoils everything. I don't eat sushi. Not fond of red meat. Shop bought sauce - there's nothing like the real thing made with fresh ingredients. I don't really eat fast food. Oh and raisins 🤢

I don't like salty, stodgy, sugary or fatty foods and I hate overeating too.
Food is really meant to be for sustenance predominately but the food companies have spent trillions over the years making everyone believe food is supposed to be a pleasurable experience.
Nothing worse than waking up unable to move and having a mouth tasting like an old sock!
Macaroni and cheese, Spam, cottage cheese, cube steak (trust me, it's not steak as you'd recognize it), store brand frozen mixed vegetables (consisted of mostly peas), store brand canned spaghetti with meat sauce (where the meat was, no one could answer), as well as several other foods.
I grew up poor, and faced these same meals night after night, for (literally) years on end.
I grew up in a poor country in a poor family so its like being poor to the power two. So I just got used to eating most things. And also like to experience with new stuff, and teach my palett to enjoy them. Once I made liver and I fucked up really bad and I couldn't eat that, but I eat it it no problems if it's well made.
avocado, papaya... never tried fresh or raw stuff like oysters since I just don't like the idea
and a lot of truly hot spicy stuff like habaneros
Sushi I've tried... and it's actually good, it does help when it doesn't look like a fish... lmao
and I forgot to mention hot beverages... a great good boiling cup of hot coffee is not for me... lol
lmao... thought so, pretty much everyone in my family is the same, the aroma is great that is for sure, is just the heat that I do not take well... especially during hot summers Texas
iced coffee is a different story, I do like that
Forgotten how to spell it. Comes in black or red candy. Or cubed colour squares like little cakes. Starts with L.
Yes. Amen sister 🙏
I really can't say anymore, but, I couldn't stand a sweet potato.
@420Rachel a lot pf people love em, I've heard
Dead animals. I don’t care for them dead beef or dead sheep or dead porks on my plate. ( and yes, I’ve heard the joke so many times which says “ so does that mean you like them animals live on your plate “
no dead animals please
Tripe. The smell of it cooking never quite allowed me to get to the taste part. I remember the smell sticking in the childhood home for days after. Yuck!!
Spinach and salmon. Unfortunatly they're very healthy😔
Soup or anything that smells makes me lose my appetite.
i dislike onions... and potatoes. specifically the meat of it all such as mashed or baked potatoes. yup :P
well i like potato skins, potato chips, hash browns, tater tots. just the soft inside of potatoes i never liked lol
i typically get skinny fries over fat fries for the same reason
@Cherry234 I like onions too! More so cooked onions but I don't mine raw onions if they're on a burger or in a salad.
Yeah plus im half irish so its even more sacrilegious lol
Most stuff, would be impossible to mention all but i suppose the biggest one that everyone likes is Chinese takeaway food. I cannot stand it. This is corresponding with any kind of Asian food tbh.
I love onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, sushi, oysters, Haggis, liver flash fried in strips, mutton, wether, noodles and just about any food except what's below.
I dislike are liver in large pieces in, olives, blue cheese, goat's cheese, tripe.
Black pudding, pineapple and corn.
Maybe because its so early I can't think but I've tried to think on it. Maybe liquorice too.
Beetroot, celery, baby corn, peanut butter crunch.
Pretty much all green vegetables. And vegan crap like quinoa. And Indian food. And Thai food. And most spicy food.
I don't not like stuff with a lot of spices or sauces. It is a crime against humanity to take a T-bone steak and mother it in some crap that in the end makes it not even taste like steak.
Pistachios. They turn me into this
Unless I catch it straight out of the ocean I really dislike fish.
i dont hate any foods. Anything can be tasty if cooked properly and seasoned correctly. If we're talking about raw fish, then it has to be served with something. But there are no foods that i hate.
Lots, but oranges are definitely the worst. Just being in the same room as somebody eating an orange, the smell is enough to make me gag.
You're the second person I've heard say this now. I absolutely love oranges and it's something I feel really upset for the person for, there's nothing like an orange especially one that juicy and sweet. I'd definitely eat your share for you. Are there any fruits you do like?
