Do you like eggnog?

Question

Tis the season for eggnog! Saw it in the market yesterday lol. I never used to drink it til maybe 4 or 5 years ago. The consistency and smell just used to make me nauseous. Even now, I can only drink it in small amounts and through a straw.

Depends on the brand and balance, but overall I love it. That said, there are some nasty commercial eggnogs out there, so you really need to try a lot to find which ones you really like.

If you have the time/patience to make it at home, all the better.

Not sure, but I think I read it somewhere that drinking alcohol through a straw makes it more potent.  Yes I do, and here in the UK it is called Advocaat. (Why I have no idea)

If you step back and look what eggnog actually is, it's a thin custard with a meringue folded in. It's one of those drinks you accept out of politeness rather than out of desire.

I love egg nog it is very tasty. it goes bad fast so have to drink it within a week or so and the expiration date is already bad by that date. fun to drink to the Thanksgiving season with eggnog.

I tried it once and I don’t know why it’s so popular, not bad tasting but the flavour is mild and I prefer egg custards which taste similar but have a stronger flavour.
