Bao (aka Chinese steamed buns)

Mine is the classic bbq pork. But chicken teriyaki and pork with spring onion are really delicious too.

I accidentally call them white boobie buns... its scary when walking around Chinese supermarket... i would call out to my honey if we still have white boobie buns at home... sigh...
I prefer freshly steam (veggies/meat) from the local bakery by my job.

not bad. like Siu Mai.. but I love Char Siu.. with hoisin sauce.. or hot sauce... also steamed spare ribs in black bean sauce

Varies depending on the meal. I make my own seiten sometimes and you can flavour that with anything when or after you make it. It's one of the joys I think of not eating animal products is being ingenious with alternatives in cooking! Usually works but sometimes it just doesn't 😅

I still eat it as I hate waste...😅 Most recent was some muffins using butter beans instead of flour with spinach and cheese. I made it first with egg and vegan cheese and they were amazing and very low calorie (like 60 each) so tried with various egg replacement and just got basically stuffing like you get with a roast.. Do you cook a lot too?

I know. We buy some frozen ones from the Asian grocery story and steam them in the bamboo steamer. Good as it’s gonna get. 🤷🏻‍♀️
